That's what I want to know too. I think McGruder has potential and McBob could maaaaaybe turn it around. I hope it's somebody else. Maybe a realgm forum crowd favourite Babbit?

Dion actually had some nice moments in the playoffs if I remember correctly. No risk for us, and he's clearly trying to make himself some money next summer. Wade leaving was a hit, but I think players around the league are noticing the benefits of our system and it's gotten several players big paydays. Ellington signing makes no sense at all even with the team option he has. Would have rather used his spot on a project like Christian Wood. I'm also worried about potential playing time with Jrich. Question: Dion won't be a RFA with us next year right? He would be unrestricted?

Simple exercise:

1. Wade made $20 mil last season ... after pitching a fit.
2. The Heat only had $18.9 mil budgeted to pay Wade this season ... assuming Durant didn't sign here.
3. Explain.

How is it that Pat didn't budget (at minimum) $20 mil to pay Wade this offseason?

Like I have said, Wade was not Riley's top priority. The guy is 70 years old with not many years left with the organization. The last thing he wants to do is take care of guys, especially in the later years. He wants to build a contender before he retires. He stuckout on Durant which was unfortunate for us all.

2 yrs/40 mil was a generous offer for a player who can be unpredictable as it pertains to his health. Perhaps that was the reason for Riley to do what he did. Last year was probably not a big enough sample size for him.

Stupid cheap for a damn good bench player but I really hate the fact that we have a bizarro version of Wade with the same initials. Damn, we got an insane amount of guards.

Timing is everything

Had Wade started getting serious about leaving sooner, the Knicks would have signed him instead of Lee

Worth the gamble at that price. If anyone can turn this dude around it's us.

So we're spending even more money? Either they are trying to go out of their way to prove we aren't cheap after lowballing Wade or they seriously think we can compete with this trash :noway:

When the third best SG of all time leaves, it's time to have 4 shooting guards on the roster. Innovation

Another SG? Add him to the list of players who can't really play out of their position
