I'm starting the "let Achu start" bandwagon, sink or swim. Him or KZ.

The positive thing is that if we can't add anyone good, there's no reason not to give them both a ton of chances to show out.

I'm not about that Lenoard/Harkless life.

Pretty sure Dragic will go back to his 6th man role to preserve him for the postseason. Also it would not surprise me to see Meyers Leonard start. Statistically we were better with him and Bam starting in the regular season.

We have a good team. We have good young prospects to develop. No reason for some of you to have your panties in a wad.

I'm sure they consulted with Myers about how Harkless was as a worker and teammate off the court.

Also, looking at his ORTG-DRTG, most years he's actually been positive, that's huge for the bench. To put that in perspective, Nunn was a -9.

I think Okpala will have a chance to compete and will get minutes.

we really trying to convince ourselves Mo Harkless as the key addition is a good offseason?

My god I'm an optimist but that's just beyond me..

I hope not, he's not ready to be a positive on an NBA court.

overpaying guys we know aren't good, then trying to convince ourselves they'll help.

Both Leonard and Harkless are vet minimum players at this point, both shouldn't be rotation minutes in the playoffs.

Who else wanted these guys? name 1 team.

It’s one year deals, who cares man?

We knew what the deal was going into this off-season. Staying in the game for 2021 until Giannis makes a commitment. That’s what it is until he does.

Who REALLY wanted to see this team cave in and give assets for 32 year old Gallo to the tune of 3 years 60 million? Not I.

This is gonna about about Bam and Herro taking the next step. And Jimmy and Goran doing what they do. And the others filling in where they may. It’s gonna be a fun year, and there’s still gonna be flexibility for trades.

That's fine, I will never be against putting inner development on turbo.

But we could have expected a team that won the East to at least try to improve, we do have a in prime Star in Jimmy and it looks like we're just content to wait a year sitting on our asses.

If I told you after the Finals that our moves this offseason would be to just pick a guy #20, Bring Dragon back, overpay Leonard and add **** Mo Harkless you wouldn't have been disappointed? let's be real here.

If we bring back Crowder for the terms we want him, or sign Millsap with the MLE for 1 year as an alternative if Crowder decides to depart....this off-season is going exactly how I anticipated, actually.

Was all about 2021

As a bench player to play some decent defense and not really hurt the team sure.

Which is why they're trying to move Wall.

It's a little bit like the Chicago situation with Rose coming back from his injuries and Butler blossoming while he was gone, the organization has moved to building around the new star while the old star still thinks he's should be the one they're building around.

Harkless was signed to the bi-annual exception. That's pennies. It's like 500K above the minimum lol

Think of him as the DJJ replacement. He'll complete with KZ for potential minutes in the rotation.

Crowder still has a decision to make. We'll see what he does soon.

Dunn to ATL likely means Rondo to Clippers right?

Wizards could have avoided this issue by moving Beal or Wall earlier. It's going to be expensive now. If they bring in Westbrook for Wall they are still sending out picks and young assets too. Cry me a river.

I dont think the team is looking to mold Precious to be another ‘Jae Crowder’. Besides, Herro did fine under jimmy’s tutelage and they play different positions. The rook will have plenty of people guiding and helping in his development. I still suspect Crowder will be back but if he’s not I dont think Precious is missing out at all.

I don't think he's communicating that the team is looking to mold Precious to be another Jae Crowder. But, it is pretty clearly a key first step in his development. Versatile forward defender with a raw offensive skillset. What's the best way to get him on the floor in a contributing fashion sooner rather than later? A limited offensive role focused on catch & shoot 3 balls and minimal decision making. It's the same approach the Raptors are taking with OG Anunoby.

If all goes well, Precious's development will progress over time, but it's got to start somewhere. The best place for it to start is absolutely in a Jae Crowder role on this team IMO

We might be trading too:

PJ Tucker, Bjelica, Holmes...

Just hope it's not Blake. He has a 2021-2022 PO which he will take.

Logjam is at the 3 not the 4. Harkless is a 6’7 SF. Word is Riley wants to get big again. Right now the only true 4 on the roster is Precious.

Ahh ok I thought Mo was a 4

I know Miami wants Beal but he seems content to stay there and finding a star is hard for a franchise and they have a younger one in Beal. I just don't get why they'd move him in hopes someone develops into basically what they have now in Beal.

Okpala should have that role. Achiuwa likes to play inside.I can see Bam at PF and Achiuwa dominating the boards. In the UCF game I saw, he grabbed about half the boards (including off rebounds), dominated everyone in front court, and even had several blocks. He had three turnovers though. His major issue will be passing the ball. I thought his coast-to-coast speed was pretty special.

As far free agency goes, aside from potentially acquiring a player like Gallo on a one year deal via ST, the Heats plan is clear and they’re sticking to it. Resign your guys or replace them without sacrificing flexibility in 2021

After thinking about this some more, as a DJJ replacement, I don’t mind Moe at all. Hopefully he’s a late bloomer after starting off as a disappointing high profile prospect.

So 1 spot left, we need a front court starter, unless we waive Silva or trade someone to open additional slots.
