Aren’t we gonna have to make a trade to get out of the luxury tax though?

It's extremely short-sighted to have some sort of defiant opinion one way or the other on any of these players at the moment.
I beg the differ, no one knows EVERYTHING of course, but I know enough to tell this kid, as likeable as he is, doesn't have elite talent in ANY aspect of the game, that he has one of the lowest cellings in the top 20, that he's small for a PF and slow for a SF, and that being the oldest player in the draft - he won't get much better compared to Whitmore or most of the top 20 guys.
I wish him the best, I hope he does great here.
I hate this pick for the future of the team.

There you have it folks, Damian Lillard is giving Portland until the start of camp to upgrade the team outside of young players or he is leaving.

Unsure if this kid was our first choice, but it does sound like he’s ready to contribute offensively right away and also has experience in big moments. Hopefully his height isn’t an issue at 6’6 though

Some around here are delusional enough to think what he did to kids 4 years younger then him he'll do against players bigger faster stronger then him.
History is filled with these college seniors that looked hopeless once thet faced real competition.

He is a prototypical passed-over Heat type guy. If he puts in the work he could find himself in a nice role with the Heat next season
