Just because you don't openly hear about players recruiting other players means they aren't trying to.

The heat will be running it back next season with the same squad because their only trade piece is Tyler “bricks” herro. No doubt bout it… we are stuck.
Is this a serious post or is it a schtick? This kind of tilt over Bradley fkn Beal? Guess what - if we got Beal, the team STILL wouldn't have any superstars by your definition, since he's not even better than Jimmy or Bam.
Again, we just made it the the NBA Finals... chill lol.
Congrats on making the nba finals… that is quite the accomplishments! We hanging banners now for losing in the finals? Lol and yes it’s serious.
Mate, you're talking rubbish.

This would be a big reason why they may not have moved off of Robinson's inclusion in the trade. Not only was it a horrible contract to a player who would fall out of the rotation, it's now possible it's blocking adding higher level talent.

So assuming that we ain’t getting Dame, what do we need to do to get under this tax apron stuff while keeping core of Butler/Herro/Bam, and not giving up Jovic and 18th pick?
For a long time it gave me nightmares, witnessing an injustice like that. It’s a constant reminder of just how unfair this world can be.I can still hear them taunting him, Silly Rabbit tricks are for kids.I mean why couldn’t they just give him some cereal?

We can’t even sign them to 4 mil each without heading into super tax right now. The 18th pick needs to get us out of cap hell lol. Now it all makes sense working out all 2nd rounders

I was mentioning it too. Toss in Washington waiting until Sunday evening to accept the Sun's offer seems to indicate they were open to still making the trade with Miami but Miami wouldn't up their offer by probably not sending Robinson.
Not only did Miami overpay Robinson and were only bidding against themselves, they gave him a player's option on the last year vs a team option.

It's also possible Washington wanted to be compensated for taking Robinson, say a or another 1st or Jovic.

if this happened it makes sense that the heat backed out.AirP. wrote:eddieheatfan wrote:AirP. wrote:I was mentioning it too. Good thing is come 2025 we have $145 mil locked up in 5 players. We might not have cap space but at least we will have roster space.

The moment Herro signed his deal our cap fiasco was coming. We better have a good plan to fix it or team run it back is going to look more like team half run it back/Skyforce

What does this mean? They've stuffed $450 million dollars in his pocket in exchange for not a whole hell of a lot. They done right by him many times over.
I swear if I hear the word "loyalty" in reference to Dame, I'm going to hurl. The team has been loyal to him, not the other way around. The Blazers have stuck with a "superstar" who hasn't been able to make it work with any combination of talent around him ... and all the while he took every nickle he could possibly earn.
If the Blazers trade Lillard for trash to make him happy, then Blazers fans should just give up on the franchise because that is fan abuse.

I know the report is that Miami wasn't willing to include him, but I wonder how Washington valued him.
Miami seemed dead set on only doing a deal for Beal if it was the optimal salary dump on our end.
I'm just getting over the fact that there seemed like a reasonable path to upgrade our starting SG (from Herro to Beal) AND backup PG (from Lowry to Wright) without giving up any future assets, and that path is now gone.
they probably tried to include Robinson's horrific contract in the deal and Washington backed out, this is not the way, you can not have all the benefits in a negotiation, I reiterate again this was a bad move due to the fact Beal is the scoring player we needed to probably get us over the top and he was very attainable do to his NTC. Get ready to run this S hit ship with worse players next season.
