Ugh... I think Iverson is done.

A done Iverson > Chalmers

Maybe. But I am definitely interested in seeing Chalmers and how much he can improve his game now that the rest of the "goof troop"- as Ira calls them - is gone.

I think Foye would be great playing next to the Big 3 since he is not a traditional play making PG, but does have the ability to knock down shots. Of Damp/Miller/Brown, not sure who would be the most likely to accept a $2 million deal, but any of the 3 would provide the necessary muscle up front to bang with some of the more physical teams.

Wouldn't the vet min for Dampier be near 1.5 mil since hes a 13 year vet? Javaris Crittenon would be a good pickup at PG. If UD bolts and since the Beasley trade hasnt been finalized it wouldn't be a stretch of the imagination to see that trade rescinded.

Watching NBA TV last night, jerry Stackhouse said he would take the vet min to play with us
Kevin Durrant is the best WNBA player in the NBA!

I think the cap hold for a vet min is $473k regardless of what their actual salary is. Basically the league makes up the difference.

Here is who I would sign to round out the roster:

PG Keyon Dooling (minimum), Quinn (minimum)
SG Raja Bell (minimum)
SF Quentin (minimum)
PF Haslem (with rest of cap space), Juwan Howard (minimum)
C Zydrunas (minimum)
Send Varnado to NBDL for the season

pg LeBron.......Chalmers, Dooling, Quinn
sg Wade.........Bell
sf Miller.........Quentin, Butler
pf Bosh..........Haslem, Howard
c Zydrunas.....Anthony, Pittman

I saw AI with Philly last year and he was better than people think. ... He still has the great handles .. he can still get you buckets, about 15ppg..and he still gets guys open shots with his drive and kicks.
Hes one of the better options at PG in free agency .. and hes better than Chalmers.

But my 1st option is Kyle Lowry .. imagine....you got Lowry pressuring on the ball ... and you got Lebron and Dwade on the passing lanes

Lowry is restricted. I'm pretty sure Houston matches a minimum offer for Lowry (actually, he wouldn't sign it anyway)...

As for Iverson getting his 15, you're right. That's what AI is about -- getting his points. When he's not in position to get his points, he pouts and quits like he did in Memphis.

And there are repurcussions for such behavior. When you're a pouter and a quitter, you don't get a free championship ring. Instead, when you make your bed you should lie in it.

If ever there were a team to put AI in his place, it's this Heat squad. I think he would fit quite nicely here, because unlike his other destinations, he is CLEARLY a lesser option. On prior teams, he may have thought that he was deserving of a prominent role because of the talent level on those teams...but I'm not sure how any sane person could question the pecking order for the Heat this year.

Last year with philly he had no problem deferring to others. It was actually how he should played in denver (not detroit that team was horribly overrated when he got there. lol ask them about their great Stuckey/wade jr to them now.)

I'm sure he could fit in here, but rather off the bench for wade/chalmers

I agree with Mopper.

It was beyond frustrating watching Chalmers push the ball down court. This guy slows down the game like no other 24 year old pg in the league.

i want a pg that would be able to keep up with our dynamic players. not some pg who seems insecure, non confident, and hesitant on the court.

besides that, Chalmers' court vision is one of the worse in the league.

man, I really hope Bron plays the point. if not, Chalmers better display some huge improvements this season.

WojYahooNBA

Quentin Richardson has agreed in principle to a multi-year contract with the Orlando Magic, a league source tells Y! Sports.

---------
Didn't have him pegged as the type to go from making 9M+ to the VM. I'm inclined to believe Miami touched bases with him though. Hope this Minnesota admin matter gets cleared today so we can the rest of our dominos to fall.

So no QRich or Dorrell. I assume this means either Orlando is not matching Reddick or not resigning Barnes.

Which do you think ? Does Barnes become an option for us ?

Will he actually be willing to play PG? He's got the skill to pull it off, but is the willingness and attitude there? If he can do that, then by all means sign him up!

I don't see Pat signing anyone who will NOT fit with this team so I doubt we have anything to worry about

Arroyo would be really great for the vet's minimum. Although, not sure if this team needs a "traditional" PG. Maybe it needs a 'Shannon Brown' type PG.
