Well, that's too bad. Its on him. He is the headcoach, he can't dodge any of it. Btw, what do you think is the "system" in place?

lol Harsh but valid. As a coach he does have to stand up for himself and go against Riley if need be, especially since it will be his career on the line and nobody else's. I know everyone saw Riley at the game taking notes. You have to admit that that is pretty clear evidence that he has a hand in the way this team is ran, and not just from a management perspective.

As for the system, I actually have no idea. I highly doubt it even has a name. But I know it is one that works best with a solid low post presence, which we don't have. As someone else mentioned, I would love to see us in a Princeton offense.

Speaking of Cleveland, if they had just a slightly higher level players at a few positions, they would've had championships.

Actually Cavs could have won if it wasnt for the INJURIES players suffered and Stubborness of Coach Mike "Potato Head" Brown

I felt if they had another all-star e.g Boozer, that would've put them over the top. Talent still wins out. Injuries didn't help, but they still had to play almost perfect to beat elite teams in a series. And when you have 3 series after the first round, you're bound to slip up somewhere

lol....I don't think anyone can tell what kind of offensive system this team is running right now, except high screen&roll and isos. The lack of creativity in halfcourt compound with the lack of offensive rebounding is killing this team, that's why whatever the hell Spo is thinking with his genius bball mind, is not working with who he puts out there.

If he wants such streetball type offense, he better put some size out there, if not, run.

Seriously, go away. Even the guys on TNT were calling for the coach's head. I know you want to troll and say "lololol Heat suck" but even a monkey can see the play calling on offense is pitiful, and the only reason Miami was in it was a free throw parade by LeBron.

Oh don't get me wrong Spoelstra is an idiot too just not as big of one as the other 3.

I think everyone underestimated how challenging it would be to get Wade to accept a second option type of role, which is needed to get this team really moving. His mentality is he is still number one, where clearly LeBron is the best player in the league. Ironically, it's Lebron who feels he has to adjust

Will Wade be able to accept a secondary role within the offense and more importantly when the plays do not go through him, will he commit to do the little things, play defense and rebound? With Jordan and Pippen there never was a question of who's number one. In this case Wade's 29 and been unquestionable leader of this team for the past few years. He'll have to reprogram his mind to the days when he came into the league and was playing off Shaq. But he was a rookie then, will his ego be able to handle it now?

I disagree wholeheartedly. In fact I don't think there is anything to back up your opinion that this team can go nowhere unless Wade accepts a second option role. In the games where LeBron has not shot the ball well and Wade has, we have never been embarrassed. In the games where LeBron has shot the ball well (or better anyway) and Wade hasn't, we have been blown out. I have not quite put my finger on why exactly that is, but it is fact. I am leaning towards the idea that because LeBron apparently must be on ball to do any damage, he cannot also be the first option scorer as well as the facilitator. Because then its just Cleveland all over again and we saw how that worked out.

Lebron never went 8/3/1 in any of the games where Wade shot the ball well. So it's unfair to somehow blame it on Lebron who has been performing at a steady pace up till now. Wade just choked tonight. Even if you play less efficient when Lebron has to score AND facilitate, you don't brick your game like Wade did tonight.

Exactly if your shot ain't going you impact the game in another way like lebron has when wade has been carrying the scoring load.

Has anyone said so far on these 80 something pages of this thread that SPO SUCKS?
I don't care what our friend from baguette land says, HE SUCKS AS A COACH!

As a coach, Spo is a very good game tape pusher...

Spo is god...damn stupid!

"He's like Kobe,'' Rondo explained before the sufficiently hyped Celtics-Heat rematch that Boston won 112-107 at American Airlines Arena. "He can give me space and still challenge my shot because of his incredible wing span.

"But if they put LeBron on me, who guards Paul? Who guards Ray?"

Clearly, the answer was no one.
The Heat did intermittently shift LeBron on to Rondo in the first half, which meant Pierce was left to gleefully feast on post-up opportunities against Dwyane Wade, Jerry Stackhouse and, later, old friend Eddie House. It should come as no surprise Pierce finished with 25 points on 10-of-16 shooting.

we have a problem in this matchup, Lebron is the only one who can really guard Paul

I know im gonna get flamed for making a comment on this board but that right there is the patented Chris Bosh "No way im contesting anything this early and getting quick fouls which will limit my minutes played.. Gotta get that 20/10 by the end of the night" move. Lord knows i saw it 100000x times.

Despite this latest reverse following Tuesday's defeat to Utah, Miami head coach Erik Spoelstra said there was no cause for alarm yet.

"We are not hitting the panic button by any stretch of imagination. If you were to go back a game and a half ago you would say we were mentally and physically very tough," he told reporters.

"We are not going to over-react but we are very aware the last game and a half of what happened but we will be the ones who will fix it," he said.

Indeed Spoelstra believes that come the end of the 82 game regular season, his team will look back on this period as a learning period.

"Probably at the end of the day, you get to March, April this is probably something that will benefit us.

"I know a lot of people maybe thought it was going to happen seamlessly... but you need to face adversity, you need to stumble, to feel this pain, to be able to respond and grow.

"In this last 48 hours they are getting to know each other, this is good, this is what makes you stronger," he said.

Y'all are just mad because y'all don't got swagger like Lebron has. It is a scientific fact that Bron's swagger has the power to transform an otherwise level-headed adult male into a jealous woman.

I missed the first half but Bosh deserves a Image without a doubt after that dunk by Rondo. Must of surprised Bosh, still pathetic defense.

The "big problem" with this offense is that neither Bron or Wade are shooters. And when I say big problem, I mean the only thing limiting the Heat from being an absolutely dominant offense like they should be talent wise.

As noted by others, the offense has basically become either Bron or Wade ISOing and everyone else standing around. The offense makes Bosh and Haslem effectively the same player, makes Wade and LeBron entirely redundant, and makes the Heat's offense not a whole lot different than the Cavs offense last year. My big issue is I'm not sure how to fix this unless Wade/LeBron become awesome spot up shooters. The Celtics offense works because their are shooters for Rondo to kick out to, with Wade and LeBron on the floor there's always going to be one less 3 point shooter on the court than ideal. When Rondo drives he has the option of kicking out to Allen or Pierce for a 3, or KG for a midrange shot. LeBron has the option of kicking out to James Jones for a 3, Bosh for a midrange 2, or Wade for...another iso?

I think everyone is going to have to accept the fact that LeBron and Wade are iso players, it's really that simple. With that said, the offense is still going to put up lots of points (even in an awful performance they scored over 100), and the place where this team really needs to play to its potential is on the defensive end, especially because a good defense makes it easier to run.
