Re: Official Off-Season Trade/Rumor Thread
hey guys FYI and this could mean absolutely nothing because Odom does have a house here in Miami & could easily just want to escape the paparazzi fiasco thing in LA but a friend of mine told me he saw Lamar on Miracle Mile a couple days ago. Interesting timing nonetheless.. could RIley be courting?

Re: Official Off-Season Trade/Rumor Thread
Joel is a blessing on defense, but is a joke on offense.
Can't catch a pass cleanly.
His limited offensive skills make some heat fans ignore his defensive impact.
He gets bullied around by big centers, however his help defense is his strong point.
I don't mind Joel being on the team, but I would welcome any center that wouldn't be so inept on offense that their matchup leaves them to play "safety" In the paint.
And anyone defending Joel's offensive game should first go on YouTube and look at the collection of wide open air ball layups he displayed with a heat jersey on..
However with the limited options on the free agency market, it looks like we are sticking with the Warden.. Which is fine, he just needs to keep working on his offensive game..

Joel is most effective in a Heat uniform and I think the Heat, Joel, and the rest of the league knows this.

Fill out the rest of the Roster with young dudes and we be set. Heat already got Ennis and Big V on board need to add one more.

Re: Official Off-Season Trade/Rumor Thread
So pretty much the names linked to the Heat in the past few days have been.........
Oden
Odom
Mo-Will
Camby
Nate (well, not exactly linked but a suggestion)
I would be fine if we get any two of 'em.

Oden + anyone of those other guys would be a great off season for me, but even if we don't get anyone Im happy with the team.

Oden and Odom would be fine with me. Or Oden and Ennis. With Odom, maybe Haslem plays less.

Re: Official Off-Season Trade/Rumor Thread
I would take Oden & Mo for MMLE
Trade Joel & Cole for Channing Frye
We get our young Center for the future, we trade for a sold front court player with range. Sign a PG that could be a band aide in case Chalmers bolts as a FA next year.
Frye-Bird-Oden
Bosh-UD-Rashard
Bron-Shane-Ennis
Wade-Ray
Chalmers-Mo Williams-Ian Clark

Re: Official Off-Season Trade/Rumor Thread
I wouldn't want to get rid of Cole, much less for Frye. If we want a jump shooting center than bring Hamilton over.

The reason you include Cole is to get rid of the dead weight that is Joel Anthony. Frye is the perfect C/PF for this team.

Re: Official Off-Season Trade/Rumor Thread
I wouldn't say that Frye is the perfect center at all. I think a defensive presence who rebounds well is what this team needs. We need a post presence moreso than another jumpshooter. That's the intrigue behind Oden. It's also why I'm very interested to see what Bogut does next offseason.

KG/Lopez or Boozer/Noah or West/Hibbert would literally eat a Bosh/Frye combo from the inside out.People are falling too in love with this pace and space offense. Rebounding is cool too.

Frye's a good defender and rebounder though. But yeah, not an ideal fit next to Bosh.
