It's extremely short-sighted to have some sort of defiant opinion one way or the other on any of these players at the moment.

I beg the differ, no one knows EVERYTHING of course, but I know enough to tell this kid, as likeable as he is, doesn't have elite talent in ANY aspect of the game, that he has one of the lowest cellings in the top 20, that he's small for a PF and slow for a SF, and that being the oldest player in the draft - he won't get much better compared to Whitmore or most of the top 20 guys.

I wish him the best, I hope he does great here.

I hate this pick for the future of the team.

I mean you can say all that but none of this is backed by any facts or actual analysis on your part. You basically looked at the dude and made your call on him. I think I'll defer to the team that has done some of the best work in the NBA on player development and see what they can do with him before making any determinations.

Do we acquire a 2nd rounder?

Some around here are delusional enough to think what he did to kids 4 years younger then him he'll do against players bigger faster stronger then him.

History is filled with these college seniors that looked hopeless once thet faced real competition.

I’ll wait and see. I would be lying if I said there’s no big bust potential though

The kid even said that he does what his team needs him to do, you don’t even know what kind of role he could have or how he plays in a different environment.

Depends. This is where prospects and their agents work the phones and try to sometimes avoid getting picked so they can just choose their destination after the draft. Given Miami's track record lately, I would imagine that there might be some targets that are just straight up hoping they don't get picked at this point so they can just sign an undrafted deal with a chance to stick with the Heat.

There you have it folks, Damian Lillard is giving Portland until the start of camp to upgrade the team outside of young players or he is leaving.

So we have to assume Heat making it a priority to resign Gabe Vincent

To be fair what was being said about players such as Gabe, Martin & Strus during their draft. Look at what happened when given the opportunity. Look what can be achieved when under the right organization. That's what makes us a fantastic organization. If we keep Kylo we may be able to maximize his jedi strengths here too & cld even find his way in regular rotation. I never take much stock from things such as Summer league performances but i've also learnt to not limit players until we can truly see what they're capable of when given the opportunity. I'm not holding my breath but i'll stay optimistic.....until i can't.
If u don't want 2b here, the way things work, u don't like it, then don't b here. U have 2 stand on something. If Miami ain't standing on something, they become alot of these organizations trying 2 find their identity. This is the culture, bro -Wade

And neither should likely be considered top 15-20 players from their draft class.

I’m not upset bc I think Jaime is worthless. I love the culture fit and potential role player fit. I’m upset bc it seems like we used pick 18 to select the 2nd rounder we felt most confident about

The dude was invited to the green room. He wasn't a projected 2nd rounder.
