I think we need to not get too caught up in the team that starts the season being the perfect team. We have made small tweaks each year since getting the big-3, so Riley has definitely learned his lesson from 06. Something that also jumps out at me is that we've made in-season roster changes each year (looking back):

12-13
Signed Howard
Traded Pittman
Signed Andersen
Signed Varnado
Waived Harrellson
Waived Harris

11-12
Signed Turiaf
Waived Gladness

10-11
Signed Bibby
Waived Arroyo
Waived Stackhouse

I'm sure we'll make at least one change from opening day...

Yes they did. They were reluctant but had to to sign Ellis. He'd be a nice fit here, but, judging from tweets I've read, most don't expect him to clear waivers.

He's 28 with no Mileage. I know hes no David Robinson but he got to league at 26 I think.
He's a big body who can come in and Rebound and Block some shots.
Ill take him at the Min if we don't get Oden.

The Admiral got to the league at 24.

Bernard James would be great. A pure defensive guy with strength and athleticism. Also, has a great work ethic.

I know he's 39, but I think Marcus Camby would be a great fit. Even at his advanced age, he has very good rebound rates. Obviously he would share minutes and have only a limited role, but I think he'd be a nice pickup.

I actually would like he Heat to acquire both Oden and Camby, although I don't know if that's realistic at all (from a roster construction standpoint, having that many pure centers..) I think Oden would sign for the MMLE, and Camby for the league min.

Camby's a dinosaur and doesn't want to play for the HEAT. Not sure about Oden either... Might just remain **** at C this year while other teams are loaded with size unfortunately.

As a FSU fan, I've watched Bernard James play since college and He is one of my fav Non-Heat players in the NBA. Even though he's been in the league for 2 years, he is 28, because he was in the Army for a while. I've never seen a player that is as hard working, respectful (yes sir no sir kinda guy) and energetic. He is like a UD in that there's no one he won't out hustle. But he's also very athletic. He'd be a great addition for Defense and Rebounds but he doesn't provide much on offense.

ehh Bernard James is basically an inch taller Joel Anthony only making 800K, if we get rid of Joel then I'd welcome him aboard.
