This is something the Heat could go for. It they knew they could secure a dude in order to trade Joel so be it. But Joel is like the Heats Magic Wand. He makes winning easy.

Yes, he's old, but he still has great rebound rates. If he really doesn't want to play for the Heat (this thread is the first time I've heard that's mentioned), then I guess it's all a moot point... but I think, as a role player, he could provide some valuable rebounding to the team.

Honestly looking at what Nate Robinson did against the Nets, I think we should go after him. We could use that slashing ability especially if Wade gets injured, which is inevitable at this point.

Okay, here's my counterpoint to your guys' thoughts:

Lead the league in TRB% in '09-10 at age 35.
Lead the league in TRB% in '10-11 at age 36.
Lead the league in TRB% in '11-12 at age 37.
Top 10 (10th) in league in TRB% in '12-13 at age 38; however, Camby was listed as a power forward for this year, so it's expected that his rebounds would take a dip.

In a limited role, what's so bad about Camby? Yes, I realize he's old and won't see huge playing time, but when he's in there, he's going to be a rebounding force. Isn't that Miami's biggest weakness?

I, for one, would welcome Camby with open arms on a one-year deal at the league minimum.
