Hire private investigator to follow Popovich and Spurs GM around.

Get embarrassing evidence on them.

Use this as leverage to acquire Wemby in exchange for Herro and Robinson.

Pay for airplane tickets for Pop and Spurs GM to escape violence from the city of San Antonio.

Probably the most sound plan yet. What could go wrong?

Ya'll c'mon. Dudes were just in finals. 2nd straight ECF final appearance. 2 finals appearance in 4 seasons, 3 ECF in 4 seasons. If hopeless is a finals appearance every 2 seasons I'd take that.
The big 3 era spoilt Heat fans. Now we expect championship or bust when that just isn't realistic.

All due respect, it's not personal, but this sounds like loser talk to me. Not calling you one btw

Yes it is championship or bust, and I losing in the ECF and losing in the Finals last year and this year, are failures especially when everyone on this forum KNEW we needed more scoring and wasted more years.

I think it’s possible that porzingis could be had for pick 3 (prob the best that they can do right now) but it’s up to dame to sign off on whether it’s enough to keep him (it shouldnt be)

Well, the biggest obstacle I see to that plan.. would be Pat Riley refusing to include Tyler Herro in the trade package for Wemby.

Sure I’ll take Draymond for the minimum but it requires getting Dame, another high volume 3 point shooter in the starting lineup, and Jimmy Bam and Spo to make it an effort to have Jimmy and Bam shooting 3s next year. If green wants to start that is, fit wouldn’t matter as much off the bench. Bam could learn alot from him and take his game to another level I think from a defensive IQ, mentality standpoint and reading the game

Portland should sell the organization and move to Seattle if they trade Scoot for an injury prone expiring contract in KP

The “insiders” started hinting at it yesterday lol

That much defense you can live with taking chances on vet minimum scorers that are given the green light to shoot as many 3s as they want and you have the ability to have a low post/top level NBA defender on the court at all times. Just find more 3pt shooters who are willing to play tough defense and move forward!

One path Miami may end up going is selling off some talent, probably not Butler or Bam but everyone else... possibly not Herro may be traded to get under the tax.

I agree completely but I also think Portland is obsessed with making dame happy and if for some reason that was enough to keep him in Portland they’d do it…hopefully Dame realizes that nothing is out there to make them better and finally asks out

Not a fan of Green to the Heat.

But on the bright side, he might punch someone during practice. So there's the entertainment value that cannot be ignored

Didn't they do this after the 20-21 season when they traded for Lowry and signed PJ? When those two broke down in the playoffs they went after Mitchell and KD last offseason. I swear some of you must play corner in the NFL. An incredible ability to forget anything that doesn't fit what you believe to be true so you can focus on the next thing.

I'm pretty sure you know what I meant. Every year players that could help the team get snatched up while the Heat focus on a pipe dream. The lusted after player goes elsewhere and we end up with basically nothing. Happened with Giannis, KD, Mitchell, now Beal & Dame. Neither one of this year's fish are big enough or defensive minded to help the team.

Draymond shot 30% from 3 this year. His first time hitting 30% since 2017

For reference, Dwayne Dedmon shot 30% for us from 3

honestly it is pretty short sighted of them to want to appease Dame and trade future away

Dame is 32.... just move on, trade him, draft your future, keep your young guys and move towards future

just dumb that they are trying this boneheaded appeasement road

The entitlement here is grotesque. Two weeks ago we were playing in the Finals. Also, Duncan (he of bloated contract) was one of the players who made a difference in the postseason. I know this doesn't jibe with your version of reality, but you shouldn't have burned through all those brain cells.

Thank you for your very insightful post.

Portland is not getting **** to become legit contenders with #3 and 23

We are in a disadvantage with the Nets

There’ll be some poor team out there who gives Green 30 million per season long-term. RIP to whoever that team will be

Yeah there would be a collective groan here if Zion is traded for pick 3 and somehow that convinces dame to stay, that is worst case scenario

Hopefully he would look at the lack of success in Dallas next to Luka and in Washington and be able to tell it wouldn’t move the needle enough. We need the blazers to strike out
