Portland is not getting **** to become legit contenders with #3 and 23
We are in a disadvantage with the Nets

The entitlement here is grotesque. Two weeks ago we were playing in the Finals. Also, Duncan (he of bloated contract) was one of the players who made a difference in the postseason. I know this doesn't jibe with your version of reality, but you shouldn't have burned through all those brain cells.
Thank you for your very insightful post.

Ya'll c'mon. Dudes were just in finals. 2nd straight ECF final appearance. 2 finals appearance in 4 seasons, 3 ECF in 4 seasons. If hopeless is a finals appearance every 2 seasons I'd take that.
The big 3 era spoilt Heat fans. Now we expect championship or bust when that just isn't realistic.

Heat culture preaching championship or bust and Pat Riley talking about whale hunting every year has brainwashed the fan base. That’s why expectations are so high, plus we watched Wade for nearly 2 decades who was the epitome of greatness, it gives you high hopes and expectations

Thinks we'll get Dame this offseason?
Really?

I haven't entered a supermarket in like 3 years.
Amazon Fresh and Walmart+ (like $12/month membership + tips). Order groceries, delivered at home 2-4 hours later
Can't imagine multi millionaire Pat wasting time to drive to the store and walk with a cart lol

I know the report is that Miami wasn't willing to include him, but I wonder how Washington valued him.
Miami seemed dead set on only doing a deal for Beal if it was the optimal salary dump on our end.
I'm just getting over the fact that there seemed like a reasonable path to upgrade our starting SG (from Herro to Beal) AND backup PG (from Lowry to Wright) without giving up any future assets, and that path is now gone.
Herro has more value than what Washington got for Beal, which was essentially just cap relief. The fact that he's still here says it all.
Just because the Heat's FO values him a lot doesn't mean he is valued by other GMs.
If you are a contender his contract is ridiculous and you rather have 2 role players instead.
If you are rebuilding, you don't want to rebuild around Herro, he's a limited defender and not an elite scorer.
Only teams who think he can singnificantly improve his offensive skill set and efficiency would take a gamble on him, I think the market is very limited.

serious post here.
Trade for Buddy Hield, SG. Maybe they would take a package around Herro and Jovic or something.
Trade for Patrick Williams, PF. Send expirings of Lowry and Oladipo to a third team, in exchange for an upgrade at Point Guard for Chicago.... will have to use the #18 pick here, along with maybe some more picks
Gabe
Hield
Jimmy
Williams
Bam
as our starting 5.
