I seem to remember Heat fans loving that. And I don't remember Spo, Wade, and Bosh bitching about it.
I'm just guessing (and not defending the double standards) but:
* Those are playoff games where things get really chippy, especially against Indy who was the main rival at that time. If Whiteside gets frustrated in regular season with the opposing defense (offense) what will happens when we get to the playoffs where things are more tense?
* Anderson, Haslem while serviceable players and even team legends had(ve) no where near the potential of Whiteside. It's no where near as frustrating when a role-player does stupid (hell teams have players like that on the team just to cause chaos) but when a potential star does it... the coaches must be pissed.
*Those were veterans or scrubs ( Pittman), why would you bitch to a veteran they know what they did and even if they don't if they haven't learn by now, they never will.
*I don't think any of those players had three ejections for boneheaded moves in what is it 100 games.
As I said, those moves are as stupid as the one from Whiteside last night and should be judged as harshly or worse (Pittman), but the points above are why I think they're not.
