A trade of Butler, Jamie, Jovic and 1st straight up for Durant could not happen. Because the Suns are in the 2nd apron.
There was no other trade option othan Butler and Richardson and pick for Durant.
The Heat was going to make a second trade using Jamie or/Jovic for other players on the Suns. The deal was close to being agreed upon and then Suns owner stepped in an asked for more including Ware and others. Durant got hold of the news and nixed it because he didnt want to traded then. That is when it was decided to lets wait til the summer.

There was no bad blood between Heat and Suns on the negotiations. Because of the circumstances, Durant getting involved, owner getting involved it was mutually agreement to wait. Heat wanted to go ahead and part with Butler, thus quickly made a series of moves as the clock was ticking.

You think Rozier's contract is desirable? It's salary filler and nothing more. If you tried to trade Rozier by himself the only thing you could get back is an even worse contract.

Lets just say this, there is a reason why I was posting James Jones quiet departure from the Suns and mentioning Jones leaving before he did.

To be fair if thats what James Jones wanted for KD, every owner would have fired him. Assuming this is all true, we need to come to the harsh realization that the owner will not take our undesirable and will want actual real assets.

The most likely scenario, that Jamie and Jovic will be sent elsewhere for picks. Because Suns have a bad situation, they can not add players to a trade. They can only trade one player at a time. And the salary they take in has to damn near exactly match. So the Suns can not play around with who they get in return. They are very limited on what they can get in return.

If a team like Ind wanted to get in on KD, Mia's got no shot.

I mention them because they are already contending and have desirable young players that they could move.

There's gonna be a few teams that nobody's mentioning now that will likely have interest.

1st seed in the East down 1-3

2nd seed in the East started down 0-2

1st seed in the West 2-2 after trailing (would be down 1-3 if you swap Jokic for Randle)

2nd seed in the West bounced round 1

3rd seed in the west bounced in 5 in round 1

It’s like Patrick James Riley and I always tell you all, always try your best to compete and have the best possible roster, you just NEVER know who will fold under pressure of the playoffs, who will get injured, etc.

i wasnt aware of this since i'm skipping the playoffs altogether, what they did was supper scummy but the heat are also to blame for allowing it and to think that the same cast minor a few players could be back next season

I'm okay if the Suns would take Wiggins/Terry/Jaquez + 20th pick.
This gets rid of all their bad contracts and keeps their flexibility for the future.
It also means Heat can waive Duncan to make some space and resign Davion.

I don't see the Suns taking this deal though, but this is the only thing I'd offer for KD, take it or leave it.
