Time to move on regardless before we lose out on Waiters or JJ.

That's exactly what I think, but the damage has been done. All those years of development to finally get a playoff run and poof, he's gone. That has got to hurt the Jazz deep.

why would we waive ellington? he is a perfect fit on a good deal.
Because we need a power forward more than a fifth shooting guard. Kinda thought that went without saying.
But I'd also offer him our Room Exception for two years with a player option (1+1) so that we could resign him with Early Bird Rights and help him recoup the $2 million he'd lose.

Yup!! I'm not a fan of how this is being handled. He's a good player but not THIS good. Let's sign players that absolutely want to be here. Waiters & JJ have been all in on this "culture". Time to build on that.

We can't waive Ellington. You mean not taking the team option.
Also with Randolph out of the way, Memphis is going to sign JaMychal Green, at least that's my best guess.

I remember 11-30 with these guys. ^

He will make more money in Miami than in Utah or Boston.

Semantics.
Either way, we put ourselves in position to keep what we have while improving.

I think it bodes well for us too. I just have a feeling he's torn between Utah and Boston.

I like jaymicheal but if rather get rid of kabob. Even when he was healthy he was hot garbage like playing 4v5. Sure he had a few good plays but on average you were just getting someone playing hot potatoe with the ball.

Longer this drags on the more likely it's Utah.

as long as we can keep ellingotn than sure. we play small a lot anyways so we are going to have a bunch of 3 guard lineups out there.
