Yes that what Dame "wants", but will the Blazers get better?

That’s not news, he’s said this from the start but if the blazers don’t get the right moves done he’s out.

You’re going to see leverage plays all the way up until the draft or a trade happens from the media. It’ll be something new every day

Is this a serious post or is it a schtick? This kind of tilt over Bradley fkn Beal? Guess what - if we got Beal, the team STILL wouldn't have any superstars by your definition, since he's not even better than Jimmy or Bam.

Again, we just made it the the NBA Finals... chill lol.

Congrats on making the nba finals… that is quite the accomplishments! We hanging banners now for losing in the finals? Lol and yes it’s serious.

Pat Riley doesn't win the championship every year? What a bum! We need to fire him and hire on the the GMs that do win it all every year.

That whole "there's only one winner" mentality is nice and it's fine for maintaining focus on the goal, but you seem to take it too seriously. Yeah making the finals is an accomplishment. Only two teams do it. And I don't know where you got the idea that the Heat can't sell tickets. The Heat finished the season 5th in paid attendance, and we were the 5th biggest draw on the road.

no, it's not about that. If we had gotten Jimmy a ring already, say... last year. The Jimmy run would be a success.

But we are ringless, and this is a ticking clock. It's a problem.

Thinks we'll get Dame this offseason?

Really?

This is my thinking, is their a chance sure, I mean we have somethings working for us.
1. Lillard would love to play here with Bam. He loves the organization, and the culture of winning and playing hard.
2. Lillard is an alpha, playing with both Bam & Jimmy does not see him as taking a third wheel or second banana to anyone on this team. The team as constructed does not have an Alpha scorer, a get out of my way let me end you with my amazing scoring skill type of player. Its a sum of all its part, equal opportunity offense, because of the personal on hand, with Jimmy being the guy to help close out in the 4th quarter. Lillard knows he has a defensive minded team, with two really good players that he will complement, but here he would be the guy with the ball in his hands. Jimmy also loves to distribute, he surely imagines Jimmy posting up getting to the dunkers spot, defense collapses and boom jimmy passes out to an open Damien who will slice and dice the other team.
3. Portland will try and do right by him, and all inclinations say that they may take a less than desirable offer just to make this right.
4. This is the first time, that Lillard has given the Portland organization a clear trajectory or else request on his future.
5. He will not risk staying another year to waste a prime that could potentially have him become less valuable as time goes by, because father time is unbeaten. He probably looks at CP3 career staying in teams that were just marginal but never did anything of note and now is just jumping around looking to ride coattails to a championship around other stars.
6. Portland will look like absolute azzholes if he is traded to a non playoff team or one not close enough to content just on sheer value in return, when Lillard has been an absolute professional in his career staying over moving to a better situation.
7. Beals trade, makes Lillard feel more wanted specially with Miami bypassing Beal in favor of him, also the trade increased the odds that now Phoenix a west team becomes even more of a powerhouse and harder to beat. Thus creates a Eastern conference easier path to the finals, like Miami Heat just showed.
8. Unlike the Golden state warriors winning a ship and then Durant coming over, Lillard sees how much scoring prowess Miami lacks and as all NBA media keeps saying Miami is a piece away thus he won't be seen any less coming here and helping us get a chip.

However on the other side I also understand, that way too many things have to lineup which does make the odds very slim:
1. The draft, must go through with Portland making their selections without improving the team as it stands with vets or other good to great players.
2. Upon this happening above, suddenly the media must push out that Lillard is unsatisfied, and has spoken to management and feel they must part ways, starting the upholy quest to get Damien Lillard here.
3. Lillard, has to name Miami as his top destination or only destination, if he gives them 3-5 team names even if were the #1, our odds lower significantly because then its going to based on the return value and Portland's preference.
4. If Lillard, names only Brooklyn and Miami then our odds slightly increase, however were still underwhelming in the asset category we can give. Regardless of finding a third team to get assets for Herro or anyone else we will never be in the positive. It will come down to if on Brooklyns sell to Damien Lillard if they say look we got 11 FRP's we will use half of them to get you, and the other half to upgrade even more, these are trades we have lineup if you commit.
5. We have to hope Bams relationship with him is so strong, and his believe in this organization trumps anything Brooklyn can offer, and he lets that known not just to Portland but he actually says this to the media, via Chris Haynes push the agenda.

I think its time to put that whole "get Jimmy a ring" narrative to bed after this last Finals performance by Butler lol

This is why I'm fine going for Dame over Beal. We need a true #1....Jimmy is not it and neither is Beal.

Shams & Woj are all mouth pieces for the organizations, its how they keep getting inside info. The organization is pushing the agenda to keep the fly's at bay and Lillard hopefully calm enough to be a bit more patient.

I am convinced Patrick Williams would thrive in our system. Dude is a defensive dawg, and has enough offensive potential that we can unlock out of him in our system.

I agree with you. Patrick Williams is still only 21. IMO he actually compares quite well to someone like OG Anunoby--except he has flashed a more dynamic skillset earlier.

He seems stalled in Chicago, and I don't have much confidence in their developmental system or coaching staff to optimize his role.

I wonder how Chicago values him currently.

The Bulls aren't sold and are not giving him an extension. Mainly because he's been inconsistent. They are going to let the market value him.

Copy paste from an interview the other day :

"Patrick Williams still has a lot of believers within the Bulls organization, but that doesn’t guarantee he’ll get a rookie scale extension this summer, Johnson said on the Bulls Talk podcast,” Hill wrote. “Johnson notes that management typically takes a hard line in extension talks and suggests that the team might handle Williams the same way it did [Coby] White, letting him play out his rookie contract and negotiating with him next summer as a restricted free agent.”

Lillards mouthpiece spoke last night and only mentioned Miami. We’re his clear cut favorite when the blazers strike out

Can't imagine multi millionaire Pat wasting time to drive to the store and walk with a cart lol

I live right next to a whole foods. I actually find it relaxing and I enjoy getting chores done. And don't get me started on the babes in yoga pants as an added bonus.

Lol

I see the babes in yoga pants as a negative. I don't need to look at stuff I can't have, messes with me

Butler is not swapping his bro Lowry for Paul lol. Lowry considering the circumstances looks like a full stay to finish it out and for the organization to get breathing room when his 30 is off the books next year.

Fam, I know Spo is from Portland and Dr. Jack spent a lot of time with your organization, but there's no way--NO WAY--you're landing Dame for that pulguero package.

(I understand a "pulguero" is your version of an upscale mall)

Return to Miami Heat
