Spo is a very smart guy, that was clear from day 1. i think he'll grow as a coach next year, he's got some really valuable experience these last couple of seasons.

Ray also said that his family really loved how LBJ and Wade reached out to him with texts and tweets, that it helped him make the decsion.

Very excited to see us next year with Ray and Rashard...really nice additions.

Riley just needs to keep helping Spo so he can keep growing.

Spo is our future Pat Riley. Spo already has 1 ring, hopefully he ends up with more than 4 or 5 rings after this run is over.....

in which case, then Spo will have the credibility that Pat Riley had when he coached the Showtime Lakers.... all those times we hear Pat tell stories of the Showtime lakers, well, Spo could tell stories of the LeBron/Wade/Bosh Heat to players 10-20 years from now to help recruit.

Eventually, when Spo hangs up the coaching reigns, he will be our GM like Riley is now :)

just have to make sure everyone helps Spo out when he's getting outcoached, until Spo grows more

Ray talkd about how much fun it was playing with Shard on the Sonics, how they just spread the floor and attacked..played position-less basketball. also Shard said they are very close, that he told Ray he was coming last week and both their wifes were really excited about meeting again and being close, i think they're BFF or something.

yep they did. like 3 or 4 times.

ray also talked about how riley's game philosophies for this heat are similar to what he and shard did in seattle.

Remember, LeBron's carried a big load last season and played big minutes in the playoffs, also factoring the previous season where he played big minutes as well. And now he's gonna be coming off an Olympic run. Keep those minutes down

Yeah but do you honestly trust Spo to do that? If he can keep Lebron to 36 I'll be happy.

Curry most likely is gone. We got 2 roster spots open and Riley said we are using them on young, hungry guys.

And by hungry, Riley meant on the basketball court. Sorry Eddy.

I find this sentiment hilarious. Just cause I don't want to pay 5 million a year to a guy for his off court contributions makes me a bandwagon fan. I like Halsem and I know he is a tough guy who plays his heart out, but he simply isn't very good at this stage of his career. Now it is possible that next year he gets his jumper going and has a better year, but is also possible he gets worse and ends up filling in for Juwan howard. Since he is not going to get moved I hope for the former.

Dude you do realize ur not the GM right?? Damn just shut up.. These guys know what they're doing. The game is not played by robots bro. The whole organization obviously holds sentiment for Haslem, whether you like it or not.

Thanks, next time I have an opinion I will just shut up and remeber I am not the GM. I hope you agree with everything the Heat do.

Sorry for the insult dude, but I just felt your post was a little ridiculous. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion tho, so I apologize for telling you to shut up... But I just wanted to point out that your not paying anyones salary so your post seemed kind of foolish.

I think Pat has one last trick up his sleeve...what would it take to get Dalembert or Kaman...those are the only two guys I want. Milwaukee looks like they are going to fight for the 7th or 8th spot in the playoffs and won't trade him for rebuilding pieces... New Orleans however are rebuilding and Kaman doesn't seem to fit even though they say they want to sign him...

I was trying to figure out how to get a 1st for Cole but I think he actually fits in NO with their backcourt guys...Jarrett Jack and Austin Rivers are both bigger and ball handlers so they can always guard the two and split handling with Cole..matching Gordon's Suns offer gives them 4 guards with Jack and Gordon starting and Rivers and Cole backing them up.

Dexter Pittman will easily get more playing time and time to develop on NO...trying to keep him while being win now is a bit difficult. He can contribute but are we really developing him? At worst he'll be a backup for a couple years but maybe able to find himself now that he's matured a bit and can be given a little more responsibility.

For salary, I think we can send Jones(+3mil in cash)...they may not even want him and can buy him out. Don't think the CBA allows us to resign him but if we do or any other team...with a two year min deal he would make double his player option in 2013.

So essentially... Kaman(S&T ~6.5mil) for Cole, Pittman, Jones, Phi 1st rd pick, and cash

If they want an additional big then we add Joel Anthony... Maybe able to mentor Davis(defensively) on a decent big man contract...we can then start Kamans contract at 8 - 10 mil...only problem is all their post offense will now come from Landry.

Any chances we can get something like that done? Or just wishful thinking?

It all started when I had a horrible day at work plus with the wife and it was the same weekend that the rumors of Wade leaving for Chicago started picking up steam...
The rumors included something about Riley not wanting to give Wade the max to go after Bron and Bosh and it sounded like we were losing Wade and Bosh to Chicago and LeBron to the Knicks...
So I went on a tirade and then people called me out and I bet that if Riley got all three I would change my name to Trixie for the season...then I think it was mopper, said it should be Trixie Queen of Fairies. The acceptance to the bet came on an apology I wrote because I totally lost my mind, I admit...HAHA
We landed all 3 and then RealGM was not taking name changes...they came back half way through the season but it would have to be for 365 days which was outside the terms of the bet...
After that, we played like crap in the Finals and I refused to change still...then during the playoffs or during the regular season when we looked like crap I said that if we won, I'd change my name for good...as soon as we won, I changed it to what's today. Trixie Queen of Fairies is too long...HAHA

All in good fun...

Jason Jackson asked Ray if he and Lebron talked prior to him signing. Ray said Lebron asked hi is there were any special spots or plays he wanted and Ray replied “dude, you & Dwade just keep driving the lane and I’ll be open”
