Bridges is an absolute dog. That is a Miami Heat player. Don't think he'll be available at 14-16, though.

I feel like he's gotten quite a bit better as the season has progressed. I've never been on the bandwagon, but he's looking better each time I watch him.

If we draft Bridges it's almost certain we trade Winslow.

I can see why you would say that, but I'm not so sure. We have a lot of guys who could be on different teams next year. We're going to need talent almost everywhere. It seems that our backcourt is fairly well stocked, but our frontcourt looks pretty bare.

I was looking at this link to gauge our roster options for next year without knowledge of commitments:

http://www.spotrac.com/nba/miami-heat/cap/2017/

McBob, Winslow, White, and Reed at SF/PF right now. Not a whole lot of confidence in me from that group.

Even with Winslow we need an extra wing, would also like a big. Better bigs in the first round than the second and Bridges/Justin Jackson are iffy so I wouldn't mind going for a second round wing if we can sweep one but Bridges/Jackson would be good gets too

Jackson's only the second top 20 prospect on DE shooting 7 3PA a game on decent % next to Monk, I don't really like him outside of that but he's an interesting prospect.

@Dom you see Giles almost being knocked out of the first round on DX new top 100 but still ahead of Leaf? Disrespectful. Robert Williams in the top 10 too and after 1 bad week and a half- Patton down to 17

I've jumped on the Markkanen bandwagon with you. Think he would be a great fit here. Maybe we could use J Rich to jump up a few spots to snag him. Think he would make a great pairing with Winslow at the 3. It will allow Winslow to focus more down low and Markkanen could stretch the floor. I would resign Babbit so we could bring him along at his pace. Babbit, J Johnson, and Markkanen would be some nice depth at the PF. All three PF's can stretch the floor. Makes it much easier to live with Winslow's shooting deficiencies.

I definitely like the high volume threes from Justin. Has played well in some big games this year. His game isn't the most well rounded but how well would it fit here? He's not going to just be a corner three guy. I like him as a roster builder quite a bit. Interviews like a goddam all-star.

DX is getting active now after a seasons worth of college bball. It will be interesting to see which team votes for potential/hype over on court production with Giles. I just couldn't do it based on what I've seen from him, and those knees. I'd rather get a healthy G leaguer.

Markannen is likely to be selected between the 7th and the 12th spot. I also believe we will make the playoff, owning therefore a pick between the 15th and the 17th spot. Markannen is out of range for us.

If there is no solid Power Forward available by the time we pick, I would go for players like Miles Bridge who are not true PF but can play there.

I really believe that whoever we Draft this year, we have to spend solid money for a PF in the FA. Millsap, Ibaka, or even the likes of Terrence Jones and PJ Tucker. Then our rookie, if it is Miles Bridge, can play of the bench at the 4 or at the 3 when Winslow checks out. That would be the idea for me.

Thus, on the wings, we would found a nice balance : Winslow (SF), James Johnson (SF/PF), Miles Bridge (SF/PF) and Paul Millsap (PF). McRoberts will be either a bench warmer or will be cut, White will be a sort of 12th or 13th man and will not get consistent minutes, and Willie Reed will only play back-up at Center, like he's doing now.

Lauri is a unique talent, for sure. I see a very moldable player with an elite skill set, very good handle for a big, and a nice personality/intelligence level.

I'd realistically like to add three rooks to the team next year. I like JRich and would like to give him a full off season to recover but he does lack an elite trait so I could see him moved as he is a good asset.

Still on the Lauri, JJ, Trier train ATM. Hartenstein is knocking on the door.

Yeah, I've explained a few times that realistically Markkanen wouldn't fall to us at 16th but that won't stop some people from thinking that there's a good chance he will. That's what happens though when you think you'll be getting a top 5 pick but then your team goes on a historical winning streak.

If James Johnson stays we're not getting Millsap. Think Hartenstein would be our best option.

What do you guys think about Grayson Allen?

He can be our white Devin Booker. I like his fire and let's not forget he's a Dukie.

Good college player. Not sure about pro potential.

D4L has stated before that he thinks GA is a later pick in this draft.

I'm sure he'd "trip" out or at least get a "kick" out of it if we grabbed another Dukie though.

Why would keeping Johnson be the condition for us not to get Millsap?

Johnson will come off the bench no matter what .

Because we'll barely be able to afford both Johnson and Millsap.

Said before the season I thought Luke Kennard was going to be the better pro out if the two. Definitely still feel the same now.

I wouldn't touch Grayson in the 1st, if you wanna drop a 2nd round pick on Grayson sure I get that, also wouldn't be shocked if he went undrafted. The biggest problem I have with Grayson is he has yet to ever really have a good game while going up against a guy that has NBA size and athleticism. The second he gets matched up with a player that can match his athleticism he has a horrible game. I knew this coming into the season but he was a good shooter so I thought he would be maybe worth a late 1st rounder because of his shooting. But this year his shot has been horrible, his form has been very inconsistent and that's a red flag to me.

At this point I'm going under the impression that we are going to bring most of this team back next year. We may try to upgrade from Babbitt and lose 1 or 2 to big poison pill deals, but for the most part the core will stay the same. With that said, these are the guys that I think we should be targeting (no particular order):

Lauri Markkanen (will likely be out of our reach)
John Collins
Ivan Rabb
Caleb Swanigan
Miles Bridges
Bam Adebayo
Justin Jackson
Robert Williams
Luke Kennard

We are going to pick a guy that will be able to play multiple positions, just look at our roster. I don't see us adding a guy like Patton or Zach Collins, as they are strictly 5's. If we have a good offseason where we add a stud wing, and lose Willie Reed, then Patton could re-enter the conversation.

The first 4 names can be stretch 4's and small 5's next to Whiteside.

Bridges, Jackson can be a stretch 4,3 in the Babbitt role. Kennard is just too good of a scorer to pass up, and would be a stud coming off the bench. Good compliment to McGruder for stretches.

Adebayo and Williams are just tough SOB's, the kind of player the Heat love.

Lmao, going for the Beasley award (I know he's no where near)

He's going to wait til' he's in the league to drop the good boy act and turn full heel, I'll be watching. They should let him drop to the late teens for it imo
