He doesn't need to play off the bench but he did win a championship playing that role so not sure how much he hates it, also who is the inexperienced mistake maker you are talking about? Bam? Leonard? Also there's nothing that says he couldn't start with Bam and we have Leonard come off the bench. We just need more size, strength and shot blocking on the team doesn't matter if its off the bench or starting. Ibaka is a good enough shooting big to play alongside Bam if need be, he's at least as good as Leonard who we have starting right now.

Randle? You mean Julius Randle? Why would New York trade a guy they just signed for anyone we are trying to trade? If its not for Waiters, JJ or Olynyk then we probably aren't making a trade.

For reasons that most players get traded: losing makes him miserable, team then seeks alternatives

We might not, but it's not at all irrational to trade Dragic for a younger talent while he's at peak value. Dragic's great now, but in the next few years, we

a. Likely won't be contending
b. Will be more dependent on the younger guys
Long Live Winnie. Mamba siempre

Nobody cares about the Master of Panic's scouting opinion. He drafted Stanley Johnson. Or some random Eastern Conference scout of a team who hasn't won more titles than us.

Sooo... is it too early yet to remind everyone that Riles is still the GOAT?

Within 3 years he's managed to take two barely lottery 1st rounders (14th and 13th overall) in perceived shallow drafts + an undrafted rookie and turn it into a young exciting dynamic Bam/Herro/Nunn core with a legit whale in Yimmy to lead them

Dion and JJ were chit contracts? No biggie, just replace them with studs

After countless hours of studying depth charts and trying to work within the parameters of the hard cap. The only viable deal that includes getting rid of both JJ and Waiters would be a deal involving the Hornets for Nicholas Batum. That's pretty much all that is out there. It's possible the Hornets might be willing to do this since Batum has been oft injured and a shell of his former self. Waiters might offer them a lot more upside over Batum at this stage of there careers. All contracts involved are even year swaps. We could then move forward and offer Silva a guaranteed contract.

I actually think Batum would excell in Spo's scheme. He fits well in JJ point combo forward role. Batum is an excellent ball handler, defender, shooter, passer, smart. He is willing to do the small stuff, dirty work and is not demanding tons of shots. His energy level is low, which is my concern about him. Maybe that can be sparked by playing on a good team. But you know if Batum has to start he will not be a liability. He will be a very good contributor at multiple positions. He can play 1 thru 4. And most importantly, you can put him on Lebron, George, Leonard, Giannis and Simmon big wings players and he matches up pretty well. You just know fans will hold his contract against him, instead of looking at how he fits the roster. Also, he might be a good role model for KZ Okpala to model his game after.

PG: Winslow - Dragic
SG: Nunn - Herro
SF: Butler - Jones Jr - Robinson
PF: Adebayo - Batum - Silva
Ce: Leonard - Olynyk

I think the Heat can sustain pace close to this range and improve on their turnovers. I haven't really looked into their turnovers but I have a feeling it's coming on fastbreak. Improvement in their turnovers, should reflect in a huge jump in fastbreak points

Both our guys make mistakes but they are young with a bright future... ibaka is better then both of them even though I would rather have bam on this team

Problem with this deal is I don't see the Raptors having any interest in taking on the extra years of both KO and Waiters. Maybe KO but Waiters is a negative asset. They are better off letting Gasol expire or shopping him for a real asset. Also keep in mind you added 800K coming into this deal to our books and we are already pressed up against the cap. That would leave us with nothing to sign Silva.
