Westbrook? Really? Next to Jimmy and Bam?
Kevin love?!

2 players worth losing real assets for : Beal and Harden
2 players worth spending big for 1 year : Wood and Gallinari

Remember that having a guy like Westbrook kills any chance we ever have enough space for a legit max players in the next 3 years. That's crazy. We're not the Hornets, we could land free agents or trade for one if we don't handicap ourselves.

Let's suppose Giannis signs a max deal (seems probable), Ibaka and VanVleet re-sign with Toronto (likely), and, for argument's sake, Brooklyn gets Harden. You still have a really good Philadelphia team (that has pieces to improve their roster) and a really good Boston squad (that also has pieces to improve their roster). This, of course, doesn't include the Lakers, the Clippers, or Golden St, who all will be competing for a championship in the next 3 years.

3 years is about how long Butler has left in his prime, maybe a 4th year. Miami needs to either make its move this year or next to take advantage of that. If Giannis is off the table, who is the game-changer Miami is getting in '21?

Westbrook has 2-3 years left at a top level, which is roughly about how long his contract lasts. Gallinari isn't going to sign a 1-year deal with Miami (I don't even think this is allowed by the CBA) and Harden would cost Miami dearly (probably Herro and 2 of DJJ, Nunn, and/or Robinson); that isn't to say it wouldn't be a trade worth making, but Philadelphia and Brooklyn would likely drive up the price because they can make strong offers too.

As for Beal, I don't think Washington wants to move him yet; Wall is coming back and they have promising young guys in Brown, Hachimura, Bryant, and whoever they get in the draft. If their young guys continue to develop, they might be able to trade Wall (cap relief) for assets in 2 years (Beal would still only be 29 then).

Adding Oladipo & Gallo while keeping Herro & Duncan is a win. Add a defensive big & it’s a successful offseason imo. We don’t need to panic. We already have a solid core of players. We just need to fill holes & we improve automatically. Then we rely on internal improvements (drob, herro, bam) - nothing wrong w/ that...that’s basic bball sh*t!
If u don't want 2b here, the way things work, u don't like it, then don't b here. U have 2 stand on something. If Miami ain't standing on something, they become alot of these organizations trying 2 find their identity. This is the culture, bro -Wade

I'm starting to reconsider Love as a fitting possibility. I called it a while back that Mia might explore a trade for him this season.

Maybe an Olynyk, DJJ (SnT) and a FFR are enough to get it done. Cavs rumored to have an interest in DJJ.

True. Why would the Wizards trade him anyway. They’re getting Wall back and Beal wants to be there.

I agree 100%.

This is the best move we can make to improve our roster while keeping all of our main guys intact.

Dipo/Dragic
Butler/Herro
Robinson/Crowder
Gallinari/KZ
Bam

That's a team that can realistically compete for another finals run.

Harden to Nets, Beal staying put.

Get Gallo, resign our guys, use the MLE and call it day.

Would think that a potential Harden move would get more fanfare. Maybe its just me. Nets don't evoke any emotion from me. It's like, "Whatever..."

If Giannis signs his extension, I think it's likely that Bam will not want to wait for his. Therefore, Mia will likely have to abandon their 2021 FA plans and turn to trade options.

For better or worse, Love makes some sense. Especially if Galo doesn't happen.

Deadline being extended seemingly suggests that a trade is in the works.

Cant be mad at a guy wanting to stick it out with his team. It’s actually refreshing.

Well I give up on Beal obviously he's happy wining 33-35 games a season and either missing the play off of getting bounced out first round. Not going to worry about him. Bring in Ibaka, Millsap and Boogie and call it a day. If Hayward is working on a trade or sign and trade it's not going to be for us, Danny Ainge would never help us, he'd ask for like 20 first round picks from us just cause it's the Heat.

Maybe the Celtics and Hayward are working on a buyout that makes a lot of sense. Hayward wants to get out of Boston and could keep $10 million by leaving the rest of his contract. Then, he can sign a new contract with Miami along the lines of four-years, $90 million.

Danilo Gallinari
Gordon Hayward
Jimmy Butler
Tyler Herro

Let's see, the second question would be if Hayward would even move the needle for us, from what I saw he wasn't the same player after he came back from that tragic injury. But at this point if we can have em for the right price we can use em in a trade to get something better down the line. People like fancy names.

GP 52
Min 33.5
Pts 17.5
FG% 50.0
3pt% 38.3
Reb 6.7
Ast 4.1
Stl 0.7
Blk 0.4

Actually looking at it, it wouldn't be too bad, def wouldn't trade Herro or Robinson for him, but if we can have em for picks, or just outright sign em if he's bought out without loosing anything, I'm on board with it, much more than having Gallo. if we could still somehow swing Ibaka down here we could have a nice team to compete as well.

Dragic, Nunn, Vincent
Butler, Herro
Robinson, Iggy
Hayward, DJJ, Silva, Okpala
Bam, Ibaka, (Pls not Myers), UD

That's a lot of high 30% mid 40% 3pt shooters that can play defense, But I doubt Ibaka would come down here to come off the bench. It would be a questionable fit from a playtime perspective.
