At least Houston got a first out of it. Proof that you can trade even the most ridiculous of contracts.

This only tells me that you can trade the most ridiculous contract with an equally bad one pretty easily  DayofMo

Lol not sure houston cares that john wall is on their team... they just wanted westbrook out and was looking for any sort of pick.. theyre in rebuild mode and Harden is next..

john wall hasnt done anything worth mentioning in the nba and has always been so overrated.. he came to the league very cocky, doing WWE type entrances in kentucky before a game..

Yes, or Klay. He might have the worst contract of all. He's guaranteed (no options) to earn 43.2 million in 2023-24 szn at 33yo.

35 mil this year, then 40 mil per year on ave. next 3 seasons. GSW gave him that contract right after he suffered the ACL tear. It shows the team and owner's characters, but probably not wise at all. Danny Ainge and many other GMs would have sent him packing for the corpses of Isaiah Thomases

Maybe Wall balls out and Houston trades him to Phila for Tobias and a first?

Washington should have unprotected the pick and asked for PJ tucker.

PG: Westbrook
SG: Beal
SF: Tucker
PF: Hachimura
Ce: Bertans

That could be affective. Add a few more vets.

So, with Westbrook in D.C. does that mean the Wizards will definitely hold off on trading Beal in the short term?

Got him a partner that can actually play in the NBA

Definitely holding off. Was no purpose of trading Wall and a protected 1st rounder fir Westbrook otherwise.

Westbrook, Beal and Hachimura is potentially a good trio. Not a world breaker but potentially good. They will have to build around them with right role players and a good coach scheme.

Wizards is in that area, where you try just about anything to be good even if it doesnt make sense. No players are lining up to play in Washington, Orlando, Sacramento, New Orleans, Charlotte, hell even Milwaukee with Giannis. So what do they do... they trade and pray that it makes them somewhat relevant..

This isnt the NFL where players are good with living in Green Bay or Buffalo for the last third of the year. geography matters a lot in the NBA.

Remember some years ago, I said I suspect something is wrong with Winslow back because the weird way he runs. And it could be a concern that may cause him to have injury issues in the near future. Not long after that he had back spasms with the Heat. The red flags keep appearing making my suspicion true.
