im just being realistic here... kyrie may be a headcase but he is a SUPERSTAR talent, with championship pedigree. he is NOT going to come cheap, even with all his baggage.

You do understand how this works. The second he opts in they can trade him anywhere. We as an organization treat first round picks like tic tacs. This is not the hill to die on

1. The only reason he would opt in is if there is an agreed upon trade ready to go.

2. No team in the league are giving up real assets like Herro/Picks for a 1yr rental of Kyrie if it's not a destination he wants to be long term.

If other teams decide to add it then I'd be cool including Herro. But if they don't who are we bidding against? As of right now among the teams on Kyrie's list the Lakers seem to be the only ones interested and they don't have anyone on the level of Herro to offer. The closest they have is THT and if you are BKN I'd prefer Lowry with KD than THT.
