Great bail out 3 by Bam but in that possession, Jovic man was Mitchell. Get Jovic in the midpost and let him try to back up Mitchell. He's a good passer, so he can pass out when help comes.
This is where you question Spo needs to do better. When WIggins or Jovic has one of Garland/Mitchell/Struss guarding them. Get them to setup in the mid post and try to post them up.

That's a problem with the salary cap structure, the whole idea of a max and cap floors means at least 15 of 30 teams are overpaying guys who are second options at best on contenders and its never gonna change until that changes. But you remove the max salary and keep the cap in place and role players would all get the minimum. You remove the max and the cap and its just the Knicks, Lakers and whoever else willing to spend like in baseball every year.

No great solutions.

I'd say after a certain amount of years, trade them for assets until you draft, sign, or trade for a 1st option. Seems that's what all the rule changes have pointed to; you need an ATG under contract to win a chip & no one currently on our roster fits the bill unfortunately. No way around it.

I think we introduced too much and maybe the guys are confused. We've started to make it too complex on offense. Go through Bam or Tyler. If Wiggins is on the floor (and he should be on the floor with them as little as possible), post him against Donovan/a smaller player. Tell him to pass as soon as a double comes and whoever it's passed to attack immediately. Same thing for Bam. Get their defense moving. Tyler keep doing what he's doing and stop the fancy dribbling. Just get to your spots and put the shot up.

I don't even think we have a reliable 2nd option.

Nah I think Bam & Tyler are there. Pair Bam with AD & he's a monster. Pair Herro with a true PG to make him a shooter instead of a creator & he'll do damage too. If we don't pick up a 1st option this off-season, I think that's it for this build.

While I agree its probably not feasible with the pieces we have unless we luck into a Luka type situation. And even then, the Lakers had to give up AD still, so you're still probably giving up a Bam or Tyler if a great player wants to come here that's actually in his prime.

I think if we have to give up one of them, its probably easier to move Tyler in the right deal. It would be the ultimate sell high move, a couple seasons before he has to get truly paid, right now he's a rising all-star on a great deal. And Bam, because so much of his value is defense and intangibles, fits with almost anyone you add to the roster, while Tyler needs certain things like guys to help cover him defensively or another ball handler to lessen that load for him.

Still its unlikely there's anything great actually available. I'd love to see Giannis here, though I wonder what lineup you run? Probably Giannis/Bam together in the frontcourt since Ware would have to be involved in the deal, assuming we don't give up Tyler/Bam somehow.

Rewatched that possession again and it pisses me off. Jovic is in the corner. Jovic has get to the midpost and demand the ball. Mitchell has to see the mis match and make sure the ball goes back to him. He literally passes the ball to the other corner while Mitchell sags of Jovic who is just standing there.
