DeAndre Jordan will get some either fired, or make someone very happy and lucky.

Could be the latter, could be the former. Can't front that I was vey gassed up on the kid...He is one freakish athlete, but he doesn't know how to play basketball yet. Looked (Please Use More Appropriate Word) on court. He's a prospect you'll have to be very very patient for.

I think DeAndre Jordan will drop in the draft to mid/late teens.

No, Beasley is not WAY more NBA ready then Rose. Yes Beasley would give us scoring, but Rose would give us a PG. I think right now, it is more important for us to find a PG to put next to Wade then a PF. Haslem is a more then capable starter, but is Banks? Jwill? Quinn? Not at all.

What makes Beasley so much more NBA ready? Rose from day 1 will have better overall defense. Rose will have the size and athleticism to cover any PG in the league. Can you say that about Beasley? Rose' handle right now would be above average, and he can push the ball up the floor as good as just about anybody. Yeah he needs to work on his shot, but that will come in time. Not only that but he would be the most athletic PG in the league from day 1. A Rose-Wade combo would be nearly impossible to stop. The way he lead Memphis in the tourtament is something that cannot be taught.

And if you people think Beasley is going to be 20-10 PF from day 1, and Rose is going to be 15-8 PG from day 1, you guys have verrry high expectations. How many PF in the game today are 20-10, and how many PG today are 15-8? Maybe about 2-3 at PF and 2-3 at PG.

So you want Rose instead of Beasley. You want a combination of Rose, Marion and Wade. Check out where does the Kidd, Jefferson & Vince Carter led Nets end up. I don't want Miami to be the new New Jersey Nets of the east. Miami needs balance, from the perimeter and the post. Check out the teams who made it farther in the playoffs, there always include a big man who command a double team.
I'm fine having Rose but I hope we end up with Brand in 2009 to balance the team. At this point, let take Beasley ahead of Rose.

People dont realize that if Rose got the same attention as Beasley hed probably struggle a lot more. You cant double him cause CDR is on the other side. They did double him early in the championship game, his assists went up but he struggled with turnovers and scoring.

Im curious why people want to pass up on a guy that put up 26-12, in a great conference, vs. double teams. Wade can throw all the risky bullet passes he wants to with Beasley down there..the guy doesnt drop anything.

Wade better than Kidd, Carter and Jefferson combined? you've got to be kidding!

But nonetheless, my point is not about the talent but where did a team dependent with their star perimeter players end up. There must be a balance from the back-court to the front-court. There must be a low post player. You can't have all your big three as perimeter players unless you're contend just making the playoffs. Check out the teams who won championships for the past 15 years and you will notice the balance of their team, and the presence of a low post player/s.

Dude, you been hating on Rose all day every day. Is laughable to act like you actually wanted Rose. But know you see things all clear. You've been a Beasley no insults since day one.

Know that Rose is out the tournament, you feel like you could get your anti Rose agenda across, because your so called big man Beasley got handled in the second round. He look so small vs a College 6 11, 260 white boy of Wisconsin, and this guy is supposed to be a NBA big?

according to the memphis commercial appeal, miami would take rose # 1 if it had the pick...puke

Take it for what it's worth but this makes the # 2 pick look pretty good right now

May 20th is the draft for us. If we land a top 2 pick will know who were drafting.

I seem to go back and forth on deciding between Rose and Beasley for the Heat. I admit that I have seen Rose more times due to his team's performance in the tournament, so I have grown to rank him higher because I love players that rise to the occasion in tournaments such as these. Most of the draft reports I read think that Rose is a sure thing with HOF potential, while Bealey is going to be a good pro, but not HOF potential due to his size. If that is the case, you have to go with the better player, Rose. Imagine if the Dolphins would have passed on Dan Marino to fill a need position in the draft the year he came out because they had a young QB in David Woodley? You always take the best player if it is not close in your mind.

CoolD whats your problem? Someone disagrees about who the Heat should draft and you blow up? I think we need a stud pf to team up with Wade instead of drafting another wing player(pg). Wade and Rose are best with the ball in there hands, hence the problem. With Rose we are the Nets part two. If Beasley is off the boards get the next best player Rose. Considering Pat was unable to parlay a max expiring into anything this trade deadline doesn't give much hope towards acquiring a post player and we lose next years draft pick in the Davis trade so we have even less trade assets. If we could somehow acquire a stud pf/C while keeping the pick then Rose would be a no brainer.
