I am a little confused by CoolD is your point that the only player that's good for the heat is Rose? Chances are he won't be available for the Heat which means that Beasley is choice; his measureables aren't that bad, and when combined with his advanced basketball skills (he has sick range on his shot, and really well developed post moves) he is an incredible prospect. On another note Chimp Ford at ESPN is now reporting that is likely we wont keep the pick if Rose is gone, and he throws possible targets for the #2 pick as Hinrich or TJFord. This guy is an idiot, I am more convinced than ever that he has no idea what he is talking about, and that his sources are Mayo's agents.

Im watching the Lakers-Celtics Game 6 from back in the day on ESPN right now. The announcer just said if Riley could have it his way, every player would be between 6'7-6'9. I know that doesnt mean much now and the NBA game has changed but I dont know how Pat Riley doesnt see any James Worthy in Michael Beasley just in the fact that the both are athletic, skilled PF's that dont come around often.
I just smell a huge smoke screen from Riley and all this talk about Beasley not being Riley's type player is garbage. Unless Riley is quoted saying he doesn't like Beasley's personality, I have a hard time believing all the speculation.

Says who? I'm so sick of comments like this, the guy is a little immature and has a sense of humor.
Sounds like a typical teenager, how the **** does he have "bad character" exactly? Has he ever been arrested? Or has it been rumored that hes a hard player to coach? No and no.

He even pissed off his HS best friend Nolan Smith in a 2 on 2 game for a all-star weekend thing we had last year here in Ky, to the point Smith quit playing because Beasley played a entire game without passing.

Please this Riley player thing is getting blown out of proportion. If i remember correctly Riley pushed hard to trade for Sprewell after he almost chocked Carlesimo. Riley values talent above everything else, he has proven more often than not that someone else's problem player becomes a model teammate playing for his team.

The point is to compare physical attributes, not equipment. Measuring in shoes is essentially comparing equipment.
Plus, there would be no inconsistencies in measurements and add more legitimacy to the process. Players can't go around and falsely boost their height measurements to boost their stock.
