Lol I definitely remember that Wade/Marion = Jordan/Pippen comment.

And looking back at that 15 win season...........

Man how time flies, back then I was so excited watching Marion's first few games with us. Specifically that Lakers and Nuggets thriller game. Those showed some promise.

I remember a Magic game where Joel started against Dwight and I was actually impressed and loved his potential as well.

Also am I the only one who wanted us to sign Gerald Green back then? I remember pestering Ira in his Q&A's about it and he'll get pissed lol. I wanted Green so bad and got disappointed when we only signed that Bobby Jackson or whoever guy. :(

I also remember several people calling Kasib Powell "Bruce Bowen 2.0" in plenty Heat forums. Dude looked a lil Bruce with his hair and jersey number and all. That Hawks season finale game we won, I was so **** happy back then.

How times change..................

It makes sense though. Often when Riley wants to ship a guy out, he showers them with praise.

Although in Odom's case, the praise was actually sincere. After Riley tried and failed to acquire Odom's draft rights in 1999, Riley wrote him a letter expressing his regret that he wouldn't be able to coach him and that with enough hard work, he could potentially be the next Magic.

That turd Marion :P if he played like he is now back then we might not have traded him. Dude used miss every easy bunny and couldn't hit a 3 to save his life I even remember him missing FTs all the time.

Oh well we turned him into LeBron.

But he did finish with a magnificent dunk.

He was always a trade piece in our eyes.

Of course we were going to trade him. His contract expired a year too soon for our Lebron plans.

Besides, he completely felt left out of the offense here. Somethings never change

Random Thought:
We all know LeBron's been a massive p**sy most of the series, refusing to drive the ball and scrubbing hard in the 4th quarter. HOWEVER, there have been plenty of times where he has driven the ball, and not gotten a foul called as he normally would.

I'm not a conspiracy theorist but...

Is it possible that the refs saw that after the game, and have decided to screw him over ever since? Who knows.

LBJ - 16 FT attempts in the Finals.
Jason Terry - 24 FT attempts in the Finals.

I meant the way he winked at the commentators. Maybe the refs thought he was trying to 'show them up' or that he pulled a fast one on them and was bragging about it. Just a wild theory.

But I agree on Dirk. He and Barea disgust me with the constant flopping. Guys like Dirk and Durant get way too much respect from the ref's despite being jump-shooters.

I thought Rose was the new D-Whistle, but Dirk is on another level in terms of the calls he gets. Chandler as well.

We better get some home cooking tomorrow.

At least Rose attacks the basket relentlessly and doesn't b**** about not getting calls all the time. If they claim D-Wade and LeBron talk to the refs a lot, then Dirk does too. He's one of the softest 7-footers I've ever seen.

Terry gets a lot of FT's for my liking. He goes down during a fastbreak and he gets FT but when our team is getting hacked, nothing.

I really do wonder if they knew LeBron was flopping and they stopped calling anything on him.

Though he has flopped a few times in this series, but it's not like the Mavs don't flop -_-

but seriously, you touch Dirk's hair or something, he gets a foul call.

Wade is the only one who knows how to get the to FT.

Mario has to start penetrating too, he has been getting to the line as well.

FT's in the 4th - Dirk 24, Heat 22

wtf? lol. Bosh isn't driving to the basket much either. EVERYONE has to be aggressive.

I don't think Rose said anything about him not getting calls, but his coach did. He said he didn't think Rose got enough calls. Oh and in game 4 and 5 Rose has gotten FT opportunities to tie the game. But yeah Heat really kept him off of the line, a lot of times they didn't call anything. Especially at home.

The thing is it's not like they're not driving. They are but not getting calls. After a while of getting hacked and nothing happening the natural reaction is to pull up for a jumper. As for Dirk, ever see these toys?

That's basically Dirk everytime he catches a pass. He flails all over the place like he lost his balance. If anyone is near him they get called for the foul.

Ira thinks that after LeBron winked on camera during the Bulls series where he flopped, the refs stopped giving him the benefit of the doubt.

What do you guys think?

Guys you are all whinging about how unfair the media are , the refs are, Dirk is....

Leave the whinging to other teams. We win we laugh, we lose we take it without the hysterics - we know we'll get the last laugh anyway.

This is very true, but it's hard to not point out the hypocrisy a lot of people on this site have.

I guess it's easier to see when a guy does that and his nest of headlice flails back and forth.

But yeah, I thought I was the only one who saw that :nonono:

Not only does he flail, he uses his off-hand to get past his defenders and draw fouls when our guys try to stick with him. What's funny is that Dallas has gotten away with quite a few obvious fouls at the rim, while most of ours are just ticky tack fouls that make us second guess our defense.

Posts like this on the General Board make me cringe:

"I hope Wade blows both his knees tomorrow, this guy doesn't deserve to be on the court. Without a doubt the most disgusting and classless player to ever play in the league."

So many things are wrong about it.

I try to defend Wade/LBJ from THAT kind of irrational scrutiny, and get attacked.

How stupid some people are.

It just goes to show the great lengths haters would go to to simply hate.
