GB is so crazy. Folks saying Riley the best there is after this move. Tucker going to lock up KD. Heat the team to beat. Grief.

Ellington shot 42% from 3pt last year. That's better than the 90 million dollar man who shot 40.

Ellington would be a catch and shoot player to space the floor. He's lethal at that, what you mean he's trash.

And neither he nor Duncan can play elite defense so that's a wash.

Duncan also had defenses adjust to his style of play, while the Heat's offensive scheme didn't evolve. If Ellington was covered the same way Duncan was I imagine his percentage might dip a bit. Both Herro and Duncan faced defenses that adjusted to them being focal points of our half court offense without us being very creative in how to get them open. Increased defensive attention is going to lead to a decrease in quality of shots. Our starting lineup now has PJ and Kyle who are both solid shooters to prevent an overload on the defense on Duncan without getting punished. This last season people left Nunn and Ariza much more open than they are going to be able to afford to with Kyle and PJ.

We don't need all that.

Just have a lethal 3pt shooter sit in the corner waiting for a catch and shoot. Give the ball to Lowry and Yimmy and let them operate with the extra open spacing. If the sniper's man dares to leave him for help defense, pass, catch, 3, thank you mam.

We don't need to pay Robinson 90m to do all that extra ****, when we need other players to have the ball in their hands anyway.

Mia will be slow-paced, unathletic, and unable to get second chance opportunity buckets.

But, they will be improved on defense.

Will have to grind out many of their victories this year.

Physically, I’m expecting a grueling season.

Duncan 250 made 613 attempted
Ellington 116 made 275 attempted

Duncan played 72 games vs 46 games played by Ellington

You decide.

Duncan has had way more responsibilities as a Heat starter such as defending, running around aimlessly, guarding opposing centers and power forwards, boxing out 7 footers, getting yelled out for failing to guard opposing centers by UD.

Ellington mostly stood around and shot 3s for the Pistons.

So yeah, I think Duncan deserved more money for sure. Maybe a little overpay but that's usually the name of the game.

What's funny is other fans in GB thought we could be back in the finals next year lol

Kinda half agree though barring any injuries and with luck, I think we can.

I need some of what y'all smoking. Tucker was in a lineup with two 7footers, a 6'9" wing, and the best defensive pg in the league. Our tallest starter is 6'8.5",

In one hour, we managed to get older, slower, shorter, and more trapped. And the entire board is whistling zippity do da out their butt. Also, it doesn't cross anyone's mind why Toronto didn't try to re-sign Lowry over the past two yrs. Signing old vets after they finished their bucket list by winning a ring, is some risky business.

Are we though? This board has been pretty negative since we got swept and especially today. Ironically, non Heat fans seem to be happier with the moves in the general forum than us.

It will be interesting to see Kyle’s body transformation when he gets on the Heats conditioning program.
