Starting to get a feeling PJ Tucker is coming back cause after all that Philly smoke before free agency the NBA should be docking Philly multiple first if he indeed signs with Philly.

Tim knows

No prediction on a Duncan move. If the summer looks like what Tim predicts + a couple of vet min signings thats going to be a tough sell to this fanbase.

Wiz don’t need Dipo anymore. And Sylvander’s Barton is off the board

Didn’t Riley and Spo just hype up in their exit interviews how great of a summer this would be for Dipo?

Riley said they would talk to Dipo’s agent. Apparently the agent has his own agenda that might not be working for us.

He doesn't know his role?

Herro extension is worth it considering what Brunson is about to get. His contract will also be easier to flip next year when extension kicks in.

Similar to the Robinson signing, that's a mistake. Herro is a victim on defense and too limited on the offensive end. Herro needs the ball in his hands in order to score enough to justify that salary, but he's not good enough to justify letting him dominate the ball that much.

Herro issues are fixable. If he can fix them then thats a value deal. But it makes no sense to sign an extension now. He's restricted next offseason. So no need for an extension. Just let him play for another season if he balls out in the playoffs then you pay what it takes to keep him. If he has a disappointing playoffs, you can get him for cheaper or you let him walk. The mistake isn't the deal its making a decision now when you don't need to

I think Oladipo is gone and I'm not super sad about it. I don't think he moves the needle in terms of Miami's title hopes. They should prioritize Tucker's contract and/or the Herro extension. Oladipo was awesome in spurts, but as good as we was in the ECF, I thought he was getting blown by quite a bit too. If they can get him for under 8-9 mil, go for it. Anything more is an overpay imo.

That would seem to take both out of the Oladipo running

Need to do some salary trades on this team. Give Herro Duncan's contract, give Lowrys contract to Bam, give Bams contract to free agent.

Tucker should be viewed as priority i agree. We played a whole year without Dipo to the tune of the first seed. Tucker’s role in our defensive system is priceless but need a starting caliber 4 either starting or off the bench to preserve him. This is where using Dipo in a S&T could solve that.

No way, if this happens it would be the FO placating the fans, they moved Nunn to not compete against Herro for time and it's quite possible they'll let Oladipo go so Herro doesn't have to compete against him for the starting role so Riley can say Herro won the staring position(we just got rid of all his competition) and justify giving him money. What's the worst that can happen, he just joins an expanding list of recently overpaid Miami guys... Whiteside, Waiters, T.Johnson, J.Johnson, D.Robinson and quite possibly T.Herro. Maybe Vincent can join that list next seasons, they already turned away from signing Dragic for the minimum last season to make sure Vincent didn't have competition.

Welcome to Heat board.

RealGM CIA does a good job of figuring that out rather quickly. The IT team is rather sophisticated for what Heat twitter dubs as baskeball myspace  Welcome aboard Spo COY. Look forward to your positive contributions.

I wouldn’t be shocked to see some more new faces pop up after the free twitter publicity yesterday. Probably had a lot of google “What is RealGM” hits

I’ll take credit for Spo COY being here, it was more than likely due to my agreement Adam and I reached last night that broke the internet/Twitter. You’re welcome RealGM

No to herro extension right now, he needs to prove he’s more than just a scorer right now

That would suck bad

I think you’re a little off here. If the end game was eliminating competition for Herro they never would have extended Duncan.

I don't like the 3 year striaght for Tucker. I think we should sign Otto Porter or Thad Young on the full MLE for a 1+1 (team option). It's an overpay but we get the flexibility to dump the contracts next season. This way we still have our picks and we can wait till the trade deadline to make a major trade.
I think the top of the league (Clippers, Denver, Bucks and GSW) if healthy would be hard to beat unless we can trade for a real no 2. A trade like that isn't available now but depending on how some teams fair out (Lakers, Nets, Utah) there might be an opportunity in the trade deadline
