Don’t like any of these signings. They all scream desperation. Riley just had to go for “it” one last time. Filling the team up with overpaid players on their last legs. This is KG Pierce Brooklyn all over again, except we are even older with Tucker, 50yr old Haslem and god knows what other over 36 year old we have in the works. Second round fiddle, 4th seed. Waste of time. I hope I’m way off here but I doubt it.

Started well with Lowry. Been an absolute disaster in the hours since IMO.

Tucker cannot handle consistent minutes. We have no legitimate PFs and one center. And we are capped out.

Ellington shot 42% from 3pt last year. That's better than the 90 million dollar man who shot 40.

Ellington would be a catch and shoot player to space the floor. He's lethal at that, what you mean he's trash.

And neither he nor Duncan can play elite defense so that's a wash.

Duncan also had defenses adjust to his style of play, while the Heat's offensive scheme didn't evolve. If Ellington was covered the same way Duncan was I imagine his percentage might dip a bit. Both Herro and Duncan faced defenses that adjusted to them being focal points of our half court offense without us being very creative in how to get them open. Increased defensive attention is going to lead to a decrease in quality of shots. Our starting lineup now has PJ and Kyle who are both solid shooters to prevent an overload on the defense on Duncan without getting punished. This last season people left Nunn and Ariza much more open than they are going to be able to afford to with Kyle and PJ.

We don't need all that.

Just have a lethal 3pt shooter sit in the corner waiting for a catch and shoot. Give the ball to Lowry and Yimmy and let them operate with the extra open spacing. If the sniper's man dares to leave him for help defense, pass, catch, 3, thank you mam.

We don't need to pay Robinson 90m to do all that extra ****, when we need other players to have the ball in their hands anyway.

We have Tucker playing the role on offense you just described, I personally believe relying on iso ball with our talent is poor strategy in the half court. Duncan is probably going to have the ball in his hands less than before which I think is a good thing. I want him to focus on becoming Klay Thompson-lite. Good off ball movement prevents the defense from loading up on the ball handler. I don't mind Kyle and PJ playing the run to the corner and be ready to shoot game if the ball is in Jimmy or Bam's hands. But I do want someone forcing bad switches to give us mismatches to exploit and preventing the double team. I don't think we have the right type of talent to be a good iso ball half court team.
