Yeah he had to have suffered some sort of nerve damage.

Neck injuries can take a long time to heal. I speak from painful experience. :(

The Heat are unlikely to go into the tax to sign Thaddeus Young. Morris makes $2.6m. Young makes $16m.

Maybe you mean as a buyout candidate, but the Spurs are only $5.5m over cap. What's their incentive?

Buyout candidate is what i was thinking. Young is clamoring to play for a contender if trade does not work out.

So we would have to dump Morris (a good player who will very likely return anyhow before the playoffs), which will cost a second, have the Spurs buyout Young, and then be the ones to sign him after he is waived. Tough to pull off, and if we succeed, we'll probably get hit with another cba violation.

I was thinking more like dump KZ. Feel like it will be easier to find a team that will pick him up due to his age. I think Morris eventually comes back as he was emphatic about a week ago that he was close. I still want the added insurance but then again when Bam comes back maybe Yurtseven has proven enough to Spo to try out more lineups with him and Bam at the 4.

Definitely there would be teams to pick up KZ for free. Still not sure where that gets us. We have a roster space already and just enough money to sign Caleb Martin to a minimum deal so we can eventually give him a mini-mle in the off-season (crossing my fingers).

Anyone heard anything about Zylan Cheatham? I know he's in protocols and we called up another player, but when is he off?

Bams better than KAT, I’ll pass but I’d love them next to each other.

So where is everyone at today on Guy? Do you all still think he is a replacement for Herro or G-League player?

Raptors fans are pissed about Dragic training at the Heat facility. Maybe I'm being a homer, but I don't see the big deal. He is away from the team, which was probably mutual. He lives in this area and is familiar with the facility. The team is away, it's not like he is training in the middle of a Heat practice. Some are saying this is tampering. I think he could literally record himself talking to Pat Riley and it still wouldn't be tampering unless they are talking contracts. I just don't see the big deal.

Herro's replacement? Who jumped off the rails like that? I want to see what he does after 10 games.

Nah I want Duncan gone if an upgrade presents itself as his skill set is very easy to replace if needed. Now you got me.

Same can be said for Herro but Duncan makes much more sense

Would love to get Grant here. Is Robinson, KZ, and a 2023 1st enough? Feels like the Pistons could get more. I guess one thing that might work in our favor is Robinson's old Michigan coach John Beilein is head of player development for the Pistons.

I don’t think we get him unfortunately but I’d love that trade. I think he ends up with the Bulls, he’s the perfect fit and their 1 position of need

My entire understanding of NBA development is getting thrown out the window. I have no idea how the Heat keep plugging holes on the bench the way they are. I get that Lowery is a major factor in getting people in the right spot, but i cant separate how much is lowery and how much is talent development/evaluation.

I guess the end of NBA bench guys are not light years better then the fringe guys that show out in G league. I use to think that was a bigger jump then maybe it actually is.

It could be luck, but damn...Duncan, Martin, Yurt, Strus, Gabe, and maybe now maybe Guy?

I wonder if the Heat are even surprising themselves with the next man up approach we have seen. I use to think they didn't want the spacing of Duncan to walk out the door, I am now thinking they REALLY wanted that salary tied up to trade it.

Why are you making assumptions like that based on him posting stats showing our guys overall impacts with literally no comment with the tweet?

I’ll gladly replace Duncan with Strus. I’ll replace Herro with an all star in an all in to win type move. Don’t put words in my mouth. I’m not swapping Herro for Guy or Strus, I love Herro but If trading him increases our chances to win a ring with Jimmy I’m doing it. He’s still a net negative player no matter how you slice it right now but the elite scoring skill set is obviously there with plenty of time to improve.
