If Carter is sitting there he's about as much as a guarantee pick to the Heat you will ever see.

So this is what we are thinking?

PG: Rozier - Carter
SG: Butler - Herro - Richadson
SF: D. Robinson - Jaquez Jr
PF: Jovic
Ce: Adebayo - Love - O. Robinson

Yes. Carter will come in off the bench as the defensive stopper in the early going. Rozier will be going into his final year of deal the following year so Carter will be groomed to take over.

Winning me over. I hope he works out at the Kaseya Center here soon.

Don MacLean worked with Jaime on pre-draft prep last offseason. If he is working with Ware, that should be a good resource for Miami to look to for insight into his inner workings. The Heat need to be able to assess the man/motivation behind the prospect more than any of us will be able to.

Excellent pickup Greg!

So what happens if guys like Carter, McCain or Da Silva are all gone by 15? That means someone fell, do we go for a faller?

Only go for players we work out. Let’s not make a boneheaded move again like we did with Winslow. Ware and Collier should be there if that scenario plays out.

We should have kept Yurt for like 2 million dollars. Spo does not like big oaf Centers.

Neither does the modern NBA--especially if they're not premier rim protectors.

I think it's more like you have to be either super athletic or super skilled at center to stick. There's none that are just big bodies to foul folks and take up space. Time will tell if Edeys skill is high enough for him to stick in the NBA.

Yurt seems like a Heat repeat candidate, we put a lot of sweat equity in him

I wonder what Heat brass thinks of Jovic-- still trying to add to his game or replace him this summer?

Tbh, the only guy in the world more athletic than Edey at his size may be Wemby. To be faster than many 7 footers at 7'5" is crazy

I'm more concerned with Edey's ability to pass out of the paint, function in the pick and roll on both sides of the ball, and operate as a true rim protector.

Those are the swing abilities for Edey at the next level

He's going to be a good pro MWP. Him or Carter would be my choices, but it sounds like Carter is likely gone.

Isn't he a Klutch guy? Doubt they pick em even if he falls that far.
