Just because he's signed doesn't mean he has to play a huge role. If he's good great. if he's bad then he gets benched.

I can't image they'll let Weber slip away.

Waiters cost us Uncle Beno (an important vet mentor for the young guys) or McGruder (a nice looking prospect that worked his ass off in the D-league and looked really good at summer league (can defend and shoot, hard worker).

This is for a guy that everyone he played with/for seem to hate, including teammates/fans/stat sheets.

:-?

Yeah, unlike pretty much everyone else on this team, he's not an easy guy to root for. I've read too much stuff about guys not liking to play with him. :-?

He's 24 YO, and also has questionable character.

I don't get it. There are a dozen of younger, cheaper players I would rather give a chance to - all wouldn't have required a player option next year, would play in a position we actually need help in (SF/PF/C).

The worst part is - with his player option - you can bet he opts in next year if he sucks this year, because the alternative will be China. But if by some miracle he has a good year, he opts out and gets overpaid by some scrub org.

I would've took Lance over him too BW

Funny I never thought I'd say this - but Lance would have made me happier. Lance at least had good stretches and can play SF.

I'm really not sure if we're trying for the playoffs or just throwing chit at the wall, using the year to try things out and get a high pick.

Come on Rex they are both hideous players.

Not only chit players but now we are bringing in cancers. I truly believe that we are officially tanking. :nonono:

Great, that guarantees he'll opt in next year and will take a roster spot and 3 Mil in cap space which we'll badly need. Also guarantees he'll poison the locker room since he was trouble even when he got minutes with previous teams and always complained.

If we had a team option for next year, I could see the upside. If he has a good year - we'll keep him for cheap. But it's a player option, which means we're taking the risk, but we get no reward.

3M in cap space isn't going to break any plans we have in 2017. Also it'll be a lot easier to move him than what happened this offseason with Mcbob.

Remember him working out in Heat shorts a few years back? This isn't a coincidence, rigged league.

That's probably an insult to Chalmers. Rio could be frustrating sometimes, but I've never felt like he sabotaged the team to get his. Waiters on the other hand thinks he's a star, a wants and takes opportunities to "prove" it

Props to Bishop. He had it first. As soon as he posted that photo of Mion in Miami I knew this was coming.

I'm still waiting for Uncle Beans signing. :( The only explanation not to reward a man who gave us so much happiness is that the other teams like the cavs are going to go crying to the league saying it's quid pro quo for his buyout.

Waiters has talent and is immature much in the same way Whiteside was when he came to us at a similar age.

This is a guy who can be salvaged I fully believe that, and if so becomes a very tradeable asset come Febuary. We've stacked the team with guys like that. Tells me we got some big plans to go hunting come the deadline

Waiters has never played in a disciplined system since his college days, I think with people on him...having just lost millions by being an idiot he might just be in spot to do something with our help

Don't insult Rio like that. Chalmers has a career TS% of 55% and during our title years he was at 58%TS. Dion Waiter's on the other hand has only been above 50 once... for reference league average TS is about 53.5%.
