Can you give me a summary of all the moves for the Heat so far this offseason?

I agree with you to a degree, I think the bigger issue for some heat fans is the lack of clear team identity. Are we a defensive grind it out team? If so why aren't we emphasizing length and defensive awareness in the players we target? Are we a small ball team? If so why aren't we increasing the tempo to take advantage on larger teams' lack of mobility? A lot of that stems from this last season. I think we have the tools to be an interesting up tempo team that grinds on perimeter defense. I think our interior defense and rebounding isn't in a great spot right now, but if we are honest I don't think it has been since the days of Shaq and Zo. I am curious to see the remaining roster spots fill, but I think this could be a very fun season for us. We have the potential to be competitive every night, and for myself that sometimes exceeds the value of being a "championship contender" this year. The pieces to make that happen aren't always available.

Dedmon and Kaminsky would give us nice size off the bench.

I guess Toronto wasnt holding off on dealing Lowry to Philly for simmons after all huh

A man can hope. You guys are ok with 4th seed 2nd round exit and paying guys way more than they are worth. It is what it is. This is a business and we got an arena to fill. Just keep your expectations low and you won’t be disappointed.

For the fun of it, let's go grab Tacko Fall. Get overwhelming size for a few minutes a game on our bench, and a little bit of unguardable low post offense that will make other teams uncomfortable. And he would be great for local fans to have a loveable giant to get behind like Boban for the Mavs.

Tacko Fall and Bol Bol.

Have them stand on each side under the rim, and they get every offensive rebound while Robinson jacks up 3s.

This is the game plan, good thinking Variable.

South Beach better get ready, cause Lowry and Tucker are hungry! And I don’t mean for championships. I mean they are literally hungry. So if you’re a Ubereats or door dash driver, you better find out where they gonna order from.
For a long time it gave me nightmares, witnessing an injustice like that. It’s a constant reminder of just how unfair this world can be.I can still hear them taunting him, Silly Rabbit tricks are for kids.I mean why couldn’t they just give him some cereal?

I agree about the signings being extremely underwhelming but I also don't necessarily believe in title or bust thinking. There is nothing wrong with being a competitive playoff team that puts out a good product.

Issue is, will we even be that? Bucks, Nets obviously better. Hawks, Celtics very likely better. If Bulls get DeRozan, they are likely better.

I see a lower end playoff team. If we fill roster with minimum salary depth, our old roster will have no legitimate depth beyond Herro. Unless we hit on all these minimums, I see us an injury out of fighting for the playoffs.

I was actually furious when we traded the pick that ended up being Bol Bol. I know he is a project, but with our conditioning program his offensive stretching and defensive length would have been fun to see next to Bam. I think a few years down the line if Bol Bol's health holds up people are going to be scratching their heads wondering how he fell so far in the draft.

Not to worry friend.

if there's one thing I am sure of, is Riley trading our draft picks.

Just sit tight.

I remember. I was in the Heat chatroom that night. We drafted him then traded him or something. I think we took OZ Opalocka or something instead.

We beat the Bucks with Bam and Crowder. Tucker a tougher player than Crowder and Bam 2yrs older.

Unrelated... given that the market for Nunn is drying up and we have his bird rights, how would the rest of you feel about extending him an offer for 3 years 21-27 million with the last being a team option? He is probably a better backup point guard than we can afford otherwise and it allows us to hold on to a trade-able asset.
