A good thing hopefully. It’s time he makes his demand to the Heat

He can't force the owner to take the Heat's deal if they don't deem it enough. The likely outcome is the owner asking Durant what he wants and needs to make him happy. I'd say it's a greater chance he stays in BK and the best outcome for the Heat at this point is to finally get clarification so they can move on to shoring up a pressing need.

I think Durant wants an organization that doesn't need him to tell them what's the right way to do things. The Nash stuff and subsequent player dealings have all resulted in more and more mess. Was Durant and his will part of the mess? Absolutely. Does Durant know how to clean up the mess? I don't think so.

Either way, I definitely agree that this should be positive as it hopefully leads to things progressing beyond the current stalemate.

We also won 2 rings instead of a possible 3peat when the bottom fell completely out defensively..

Why are people suggesting Myles Turner? To keep scrambling for 48 mins?

There's two sides to the coin. How many franchises have had more success than Miami over this timeframe? Yes we've dealt with injuries and worn down, but is Dragic getting hurt really because of our style of play?

Attributing big 3 not having more than 2 rings to the defensive approach is beyond silly.

Seems our defensive playstyle and size becomes a bit of a boogeyman for fans to point to for all and any issues.

We have not played the same exact defensive scheme from the big 3 era to now.

Success in modern NBA basketball at the highest level is largely dictated by ability to execute and apply pressure on every inch of the court in a cohesive way. Spacing is more than just the 3-ball. It is accounting for advantage and opportunity on every part of the court. That's Spo's focus.

The scheme is constantly evolving, but the ability to play playoff basketball with as many players on the court that can apply pressure and react to pressure applied on every part of the court is literally ITEM #1 in importance for winning in the NBA today.

The bigger and longer the players can be while doing that, the better. But Spo isn't going to sacrifice ability to play the full court game for the sake of getting size on the court. If he can do more to marry them, then that's great.
This room goes in circles. They will always scream for the alternative scheme. Before Whiteside they were banging the table for shot blocking true center and move Bosh to the 4. Sounds familiar?

Then when they got Whiteside they yelled we need a smaller center who can switch. This big center thing is played out! Lumbering shot blockers are prehistoric.

Now we got Bam and we back to 2015 wanting a true center.

This room has short attention span. That is why I laugh at posters talking building a dynasty or a roster that will last for more than 2 years. This room can't survive with the same players for long

What about people that wanted to go big at 4 & 5? Bam would be further along if we threw him into the fire and forced him to be more offensive minded alongside a big center, we never explored it. He got type casted into being a screener/rimRunner and 5 years in he’s visually uncomfortable shooting open jumpers. We did the same with Precious (and no im not ruing his absence), one three point attempt in Miami, over 150 in Toronto. I dont know why the thought of two reasonably big bodies on the floor is so scary for Spo.

You very well could be right, I have no clue what’s going to happen at this point. Obviously I’m hoping for the scenario that benefits Miami by getting him.

Where did I mention Herro or Bam? Man you need to seriously....and I mean seriously hop off my dick. I post something outside of fantasy trades and the first word out of your mouth is about boosting Herro. Just take some time off.

Your agenda is HEAVY, no need in hiding. Definitely not on that little thing. I just find it funny that you only post when Herro is involved and act like he’s going to be the best player in Heat history

What a f*ckin hypocrite

I hope KD walks right into Joe Tsai's office. Stands on his desk. Turns around and drops his pants, then drop a steaming pile of shite on the desk. Then just walks out.

You only post when you're swinging from Bam's nuts or talking crap about Herro.

So saying Herro could develop into Devin friggin Booker is him being the best player in Heat history? Your HEat history obviously started with Bam.

Before Herro was a concept I said we need to modify this scatterbrain defense...people have been saying that for a decade.

Nope, I post much more than that and I back discussion with context and numbers outside of “look at Herro at 22 compared to Curry at 22” type of debates that the Herro fans cling to.

My Heat history started with Wade and Herro will never be better than Bam at any point of his career.

What KD wants is out & to be in Miami. Frm one of ICC’s recent updates he’s becoming disgruntled & will sit out if he’s not traded. They don’t need to trade him but this cld turn into a mess they don’t need that disrupts the team, current players & their season.

His source also said Yurt is still out with the possibility of surgery with a lower body injury but Yurt is working out and playing ball. Not saying ICCs source isn’t legit but 100% of the stuff he’s being told may not truly be the case. If what you’re post says is true we’ll know by the end of the week at the latest with KD meeting with them again. He’ll tell them Miami only if that’s what he wants, there’s no other reason to meet
