Very happy we got Harrellson, my Knick fan cousin has been raving that he would be a perfect fit for the Heat. Good rebounder and can stretch the floor with his shooting, basically a perfect fit for our team. I agree with keeping all positions on the court "live" like Spo said and Harrellson does that very well. Don't think there's a much better fit for us based on our budget.

Good signing adding Jorts - I feel like he's going to a bit like Frye for us (a C without much value for most teams, but found a place where he could be valued).

Can someone please provide an updated list of our roster, I've lost track of where we're at. Do we still have room for Whiteside? I'd love to see a competitive camp for the C position. I'm with the people who see value in Whiteside. I think he has DeAndre Jordan potential, but could at least be a taller Joel (allowing us to trade or amnesty him).

So is Harrelson actually on the roster, or is he just in the 20 man camp thing?

What I want to know. I thought this was a non-guaranteed camp invite contract, but we'll see. He can't be worse than Pittman. PEACE.

Man, I really hope Juwan does not get the last spot, I'd much rather get someone like Whiteside who at least is able to show what he can do. Even giving Juwan an unguaranteed spot is a waste.

It's the same "make-good", non-guaranteed contract that Harris, Gladness and Varnado were given. All four are battling for a roster spot.

If the Heat bring in Juwan over Whiteside (or...anyone), even just for the 20-man roster, I'll vomit for 8 straight days. Its so over, Juwan. So, so over.

Good stuff Chalm, I've heard Knicks fans rave and hype Jorts from day one, all the way until he was traded. Obviously there have been some more negative reviews, based on his slow-footedness, and the fact that NY was mostly garbage last year, and their short-fused fans went on diatribes against all their players. He really does seem like an exceptional fit on paper. Great use of the new Spo-ism "live." I've been trying to get it to catch on.

He looks like he's dropped weight to make the team, so he should be quicker. Still, he's a massive body, so the pick-and-pop game with he and our ball-handlers could be solid. Hard to say what his ceiling here would be. I know people will come out and ask for him to be started, but I don't think we want to diminish our speed from the onset anymore. He could be nice as our backup C, essentially playing a watered-down version of Bosh's role while he rests. UD's minutes might be in serious jeopardy.

Wow, very interesting comparison. Frye was viewed as a joke until he found that role i PHX. Would be awesome if things shaped up similarly.

I really don't and hope Juwan doesn't make the team. I don't mind him being part of the organization. But we don't seem to have a big that really plays like a big besides Bosh. Pitt is on the roster for sure. Harrelson seems like a camp invite but he might actually make it. Harris and Harrellson for those last 2 spots. He can spread the floor and shoot 3's, as well as rebound. He rebounded better than Pittman last year per 36 mins.

Pat definitely brought the heartrate-monitor exercise bike back for Pittman.

Then his fit body in these recent photos must be an illusion. After all, if Pat Riley really did bring those bikes back, then Haslem and Wade probably have taught Dex all the tricks Shaq taught them back in 2007-2008 on how to fake log exercise on those bikes 8-) .
