And he should. People fail to recognize that he's been treated like crap by this team. The beat writers look for ways to show him in a negative light, the fans eat it up and talk crap about and i know he see's all of this. Now to make matters worse, we have him coming off the bench. For what?! To humble him? Lmao. Has Deng came off the bench for more than one game? Dragic? Wade? Bosh? The answer is NO. I don't really care if he starts or comes off the bench anymore as long as we win, but he will remember all of this come july including the 4th quarter benchings, Bosh talking crap about him to the media, him being sent home after a flagrant foul (WTF). As a HEAT fan, and a Hassan fan i think what's best is that he leaves via FA, and we continue to as a team to follow the vision of our head coach, Small ball. If Hassan is smart, he uses these next few months + playoffs if we make it to increase his value. Be more mature, play more consistent and be a team player and he will get his max then some.

As a Heat fan and Hassan fan I hope he stays. N82 is overplaying how "badly" he's been treated. He looks more than happy with his team and his fans - even if he does whinge when things are going so well for him - that's just him and I hope he continues to be dissatisfied when he doesn't play well or is benched.

He will get the max. I think he'll stay unless LA sway his head saying he'll be their main man.

Hey, HIF It's good to see that we have something in common other than just being a HEAT fan. Didn't know that you were one of the posters who likes Hassan.

But look at everything that has unfolded this season, Hassan has been made the scapegoat even with his stellar play. I'm comparing his situation to everyone else's on the team and not one other player has been dragged through the mud as much as him. Do we forget that Hassan is making the minimum? For example, a player like Dragic who signed a huge this offseason has played like crap and yet we continue to make excuses for him. He wasn't "benched" and made out to be the scapegoat. Yes there is things Hassan can improve on like being more mature, playing more consistent and he will but the way this team has treated him is embarrassing. We treat him like he owes us something. In the end, i hope everything works out for both parties involves. Sorry i couldn't give better examples and details i'm posting from my phone.

Freaking Charles Barkley started all that unfounded talk about Hassan being inconsistent. Hassan is easily our most consistent player. Every single night you can count on him anchoring our d, getting rebounds, blocks, staying out of foul trouble, and shooting a high percentage. The only thing inconsistent about hassan are free throws, touches, and playing time....and he has no control over the latter two. I've said it before..."has Hassan EVER once not delivered a monster performance when given the opportunity of a high usage game"? We have a top 10 efficiency player and he gets less than half the touches of a Gerald Green smh.

Love and think he's a must keep. More so than Bosh even.

I don't think he's been treated too badly, he's a bit of a kid and needs firm handling.

He has gotten better because of being here and our handling of him.

He should be thanking Spo and will do in 10 years time.

You shouldn't be comapring him to dragic but to JRich or Winslow or TJ - except they won't play the fool. He has the talent but needs the focus to be great. Miami will give him that.

I believe that he is the future of our Franchise and will win a championship alongside Winslow and TJ.

HIF, you okay? I love those guys and want them to retire here...but we won't come close to winning a single thing if they are our best three players. I don't see the same thing you do.

Whether he comes off the bench or starts doesn't matter as much as minutes do. Hassan gets the lion's share of minutes and can focus on making the most of them instead of worrying about pacing himself and skipping plays so he doesn't get exhausted quickly. Starting Stat ahead of Hassan has allowed the team to quickly get into a great pace and keep that pace when Hassan gets in.

But I think things will even out tomorrow when we face a good defense like Indiana and the mcbob/Whiteside pick and roll are scouted.

Honestly it does matter sadly. Lets play devils advocate right now, for spacing we have Wade in a contract year come off the bench. The same mins but he comes off the bench, how will he react? Im sure it wont be nice, starting matters. All of the things you want to do, to keep a free agent are the complete opposite of what we are doing.

It remains to be seen.

The only precedence that I can think of is Ginobli. And that situation is as rare as Hassan himself. I guess we'll see. He's either going to start or come off the bench with starter's minutes and he's either going to stay in Miami, like he's apparently said before, or he's going to go. Nothing we can do.

Jeez you're dramatic. We all like Hassan. Just because we criticize the kid it doesn't equate to hate. I swear this wack 'Hate' 'Haters' 'Hating' culture sucks a*s.

Please acknowledge that we want him to work out here. We all understand that he can be a big factor here and he can help us win - that's the sole reason why we are on him so much. We see his potential. But we also understand there's alot of maturing to be had. Alot of mentoring he still needs.

Nobody is out targeting the kid like you are making it out to be. There's no smear campaign out on the kid and frankly i think i speak for many here that are tired of your constant dramatics that you need to drop this whole everybody hates Hassan nonsense and that he needs to just leave so he is treated better elsewhere. This Soppy soft stuff needs to stop! Relax. Hassan will stay in a Heat uniform and discounted

I will only want Whiteside to stay if he understand and accept he is a 14/12/3 guy instead of 24/12/3.

He needs to accept he is 3rd or 4th option on offense. And do his job to get all the rebounds and blocks.

If he is willing to, I think he may worth a 4 year 72M contract.

Any team who give Whiteside a 4 year 80M contract this offseason will regret big time several years later.

They'll regret stealing him away from us for only $2mill more per year than what you want us to offer? Why?

I think what Hassan needs to do is realize that he can get his numbers and his money by simply buying in and playing his role. I don't think that he should limit himself though. Currently he isn't a 20ppg guy so he should just give up and become a garbage man?

You should never put a player into a box like that. Otherwise guys like Jimmy Butler wouldn't be able to become the talents that they are today. He should continue to work hard in the off season and play hard for himself and his teammates whenever he's on the floor. If he does that he'll have a very long and very fruitful career.

You never want to limit a player's full potential. You encourage greatness and develop him to be the best he can be.

Also this team should be away w/ 1st, 2nd, 3rd options etc. It's who ever gets the best shot in the moment. Continue to play team ball the way we are. Of course a little iso by Wade or bosh here and there won't hurt but we need to promote team work.

But i agree on your last point....any team who pays somebody like Hassan max may end up regretting it. too much money, in so little time for a player who may not be mentally ready.

If Whiteside can average 20-20-3, much better.
I hope he doesn't over exert and/or try too much. He must let the game come to him instead over doing something he is not. Shot blocking or even giving intimidation to players to drive (that we dont see on papers); at least 10 rebounds and 10pts are already very good contributions for the team, even if he doesn't go 20-20 but of course you prefer to see those nos. especially while Bosh is out.

I'm only going to reply to the bolded part. You are one of the main fickle posters on here as you change your opinion on Hassan as much as you change underwear so i really don't take anything you post in regards to Hassan seriously. Last couple of weeks you was leading the pack in making up stupid trade proposals and what not. It's hate, most hates when this kid has a good game because it makes them look stupid. Carry on, i will no longer entertain your negative hating posts in regards to Hassan or what i choose to post. At the end of the day if you don't like what i post or if i'm too "dramatic" add me to your foe list.

If u don't want 2b here, the way things work, u don't like it, then don't b here. U have 2 stand on something. If Miami ain't standing on something, they become alot of these organizations trying 2 find their identity. This is the culture, bro -Wade
