Going to be tough for Dallas to come out of this series 1-2 with Luka hobbled and Beverly likely coming back next game.

Good effort Mavs. No chance with hobbled Luka, but they've shown that they are more than just a Luka and shooters team throughout the series.

Inferior teams usually have to go all 110% to keep up with a team like the Clippers. By game 3-4 they are naturally pretty beat up (though Luka's injury was just a freak accident). Hope they come out guns blazing and take at least one more win.

Kawhi carrying, PG13 sucked ass again per usual under pressure, but no one cares when you got arguably the best playoff performer of all time when healthy. I would never want Paul George being the best player of my team. Like in Indy and OKC, you’re gonna be a middle of the pack regular season treadmill team. Last year Kawhi was not healthy from mid Milwaukee series and finals. Interesting to see how his health holds up. COVID shut down seem to have really helped him. He is looking even better than he did last playoffs to begin the playoffs so far. ELITE

Heat were on their way to that 2-3 seed, but then you had to OP that Wizards GT and we played below .500 ball after :noway:

Celtics are a better team I think without Hayward’s suspect defence being targeted by other teams. Their athleticism and perimeter defence improves a lot. Brett Brown could get away with hiding Horford in the starting lineup with Embiid when Hayward was there.

Heat never had a chance at the 2 seed and second best record in the NBA, 3 seed maybe but Celtics played as well as the Heat in the bubble so they really didn’t have a chance at 3 seed either unless Celtics completely faltered.

Kawhi is probably the best player in the NBA at the moment. I’d take him over anyone.

Dude flat out does not have a weakness.

Yeah, but when it is regular season people say stupid stuff like he is #5 or #4 or #9...come playoff time when games matter come clutch he is the best overall player at both ends of the floor with that best automatic midrange and 3 combo in the game. His offensive arsenal is closest to prime KD in the NBA, but considerably better defensively. There is literally no way of limiting his arsenal 1 on 1 even when you got say Ben Simmons on him. He does all including being able to play bully ball for easy high % buckets

I don't know about that. He does significantly improve in the post season but part of is he doesn't really go all out in the regular season. But I wouldn't go as far as best playoff performer of all time. Better than playoff MJ, playoff prime shaq, playoff Kobe, Lebron and even KD. Look at KD's numbers vs Kawhi numbers in the playoffs for the past 8 years, there's no comparison. It's only in the last 2 seasons that Kawhi has been putting up monster numbers in the playoffs.

He's the closest thing I've seen to MJ Wilts. He's a little bigger and much less aggressive, but they get the job done in a similar fashion. Cold blooded. When he gets the ball in his spot, it's a devastating feeling for the opponent.

Ofc Kawhi has gone through the peak like this for only about 3 and a half seasons patched together between load management so he should never be compared to MJ or LBJ or anything like that, but he's truly remarkable in terms of progression of his game. LeBron's FT% has stayed the same since his rookie season and got worse as he got older (WTF) for example of no progression (not that he didn't improve in other areas, but he's never become a good shooter).

If KD was healthy, it'd be him no questions. So Kawhi by default, a small chance it's Lebron. Regular season Lebron was looking great and I'd have him over Kawhi. But now I dunno. He doesn't look the same. Maybe he picks it up but looks like time is catching up with him.

Kawhi was and is a late bloomer. He wasn’t a top pick like KD was and had to elvolve his offensive arsenal. His first few seasons and even his first finals MVP doesn’t matter as much because he was still developing his arsenal. He also lost a full season in 2017-18. In 2016-17 playoffs he was a monster before he got sabotaged about to maybe take down a GSW with KD even, who knows. The guy already said he sees the regular season as “practice”. Can you imagine saying that without flinching and actually backing it up like it is nothing?

Steph and Lebby's the only pair I'd take over Kiwi, really dislike how dogmatic folks get when you say Kiwi>Kady but the tides changing.

A lot of folks would/will still laugh at me for having Steph up at #2 still. There's folks with the audacity to claim Dame>Steph, like they on the same level

Steph's impact on game is something way beyond stats, so simple minded ppl might confuse him and Dame as the same/similar players. I was watching Seth Curry tonight and thinking "wow this guy shoots just as well, and has the handles and quickness to score but he has like no impact outside of scoring (which he did well)" It was interesting. KD is a unicorn too those guys are some special characters it's hard to quantify and compare their overall impact.

Everyone peaks at different times and has difference circumstances, it's kind of pointless to compare players even within the same generation let alone different generations imo
I'm sure if James Harden had better teammates and won a couple rings he would have been rated much higher by many. Kawhichael is very lucky in this regard.

Oof, I really want a J-Mac/Kiwi series, granted he washes Lebby first too

Russ coming off injury, and everybody else sporadically shooting like booty is gonna make it interesting

It's closer to reality than hope imo. I wanted Rox to be the 3rd seed so that we can watch em battle in semi, but Rox clearly wanted no part of that and opted for Lebby. King Vegeta had to deal with KD Warriors the past 2 szns this Clippers must feel like a breeze tbh
