Kawhi and KD are the only guys you could slot into just about any team with any team mates and their production would be exactly the same and it wouldn't disrupt much of what the rest of the team does. Lebron has the talent to make things work but come playoff time its hard if he doesn't have good constructed team. Guys essentially have to conform to how Lebron plays which can destabilise the team.

Dude flat out does not have a weakness.

Steph and Lebby's the only pair I'd take over Kiwi, really dislike how dogmatic folks get when you say Kiwi>Kady but the tides changing.

A lot of folks would/will still laugh at me for having Steph up at #2 still. There's folks with the audacity to claim Dame>Steph, like they on the same level

Steph's impact on game is something way beyond stats, so simple minded ppl might confuse him and Dame as the same/similar players. I was watching Seth Curry tonight and thinking "wow this guy shoots just as well, and has the handles and quickness to score but he has like no impact outside of scoring (which he did well)" It was interesting. KD is a unicorn too those guys are some special characters it's hard to quantify and compare their overall impact.

Everyone peaks at different times and has difference circumstances, it's kind of pointless to compare players even within the same generation let alone different generations imo
I'm sure if James Harden had better teammates and won a couple rings he would have been rated much higher by many. Kawhichael is very lucky in this regard.

I feel like Kawhi has far more poise in these moments I'd say. I'm just not a believer in Harden as a winner. When things are allowed to get more physical in the playoffs Harden seems to crumble because he is so accustomed to getting every call he wants in the regular season so once he gets a few missed calls he takes himself out of the game, or at least enough to effect the series.

Maybe he'll figure it out eventually but until he shows me, I will be sceptical.

Horfod and Tobias Harris finessed Elton Brand. 60 million in cap space for both.

Back when Hinkie was mass tanking, I really didn't like how he was putting out dleague teams for years on end

But my god paying these two guys big money is a bigger disgrace to the game than anything hinkie did

I don't know about that. He does significantly improve in the post season but part of is he doesn't really go all out in the regular season. But I wouldn't go as far as best playoff performer of all time. Better than playoff MJ, playoff prime shaq, playoff Kobe, Lebron and even KD. Look at KD's numbers vs Kawhi numbers in the playoffs for the past 8 years, there's no comparison. It's only in the last 2 seasons that Kawhi has been putting up monster numbers in the playoffs.

Tough to compare anyone to playoff MJ. Playoff Shaq/Kobe is tough too due to both players being the top 2 players in the game on the same team.

Better than playoff Lebron and KD though? It is debatable. He has done so in the past, without this superteam bs that both KD and Lebron pursue. Yeah he has PG this year, but has PG done anything the last six years? Last time PG advanced past first round was 2014. If Kawhi wins this year, he seals his legacy. Regardless of bubble.

Not sure why Nets could not challenge. Maybe they already used theirs. Flopping needs to be treated as a flagrant foul and an ejection judged on level of intensity. Coaches should also be given two flopping challenges per game. This was pathetic.

Most resources in the conference last yr, couldn't get it done. Faced a rookie tandem in Tatum, Brown while healthy two yrs ago and couldn't get it done. Bout' to get swept now, but I should believe this team was on the cusp of being perennial contenders?

Sixers are one of the most mismanaged teams in the NBA.

Did not even attempt to re-sign Butler.

Passed on Malcolm Brogdon

Signed Horford to a big contract cuz he shut down Embiid and they did not want him on a competitor

Sixers this offseason will be at levels of  that not even Iggie can match

They were probably down 30 points and wanted to go home. Lifer SMH

Joe Harris, who is their second best player, at full health their 5th or 6th best player, left the bubble after game 2 being down 0-2. Nets are deflated and rightfully so.

C'mon. You can't compare the playoff performances last 6 seasons for Kawhi vs KD/Lebron. It's not close. Kawhi has had one great post season run. That was last year. The two years he won with the Spurs he was an allstar but his perfomances weren't top 5 player in the league level.
His legacy is sealed but even of with a 3rd he's behind Lebron, KD in the post Kobe era. We can't just diminish what the other guys have done for multiple years in the playoffs and regular season.
If he gets a 4th then we can start having that convo.
Saying Kawhi is behind these guys is no disrespect but we can't have recency bias because he's winning now.
