I just don't see him forcing a destination with 4 years left. I mean what's he gonna do? Not play in Toronto or Boston for 4 years? That's basically choose retirement and give up all the money. KD does nothing but hoop, hell it's why I've been saying the Nets have no intention of trading him.

His source also said Yurt is still out with the possibility of surgery with a lower body injury but Yurt is working out and playing ball. Not saying ICCs source isn’t legit but 100% of the stuff he’s being told may not truly be the case. If what you’re post says is true we’ll know by the end of the week at the latest with KD meeting with them again. He’ll tell them Miami only if that’s what he wants, there’s no other reason to meet

You know as much as I don't believe ICC or might get on his case I don't ever recall him saying Yurt might need surgery. Think he said he had a minor injury (might've been a quad) or sitting out for the possibility of a trade.

Saucee nuggets Ill capitalize this comment to answer it as well.

They are rehabbing/treating him for an injury if it does not heal properly he may need surgery. If he is playing, then he is recovering accordingly which means he may be good again team doctors are keeping an eye on his progress.

Anyways I did ask about the Durant meeting with ownership. I was told based on the information the Heat knows, the previous meeting he had was probably more with the Executives & GM in regards to his request and desire to play for the team if a trade is not found. The comments back from our players who have spoken to Durant is he told them zero chance for him to want to play it back and wants a change. He does not want to enter training camp with a Brooklyn jersey. The owner who has been the one vetoing some of the previous offers is the one who wants a face to face with Durant as he is calling his bluff per some of the league noise. He wants to hear from the horses mouth that this marriage is indeed over and there is nothing to salvage. Miami hopes that Durant follows through and lets it know he wants out by all means, and keeps Miami as his top destination without leaving any glimmer of hope to play it back. This may be Miami's best chance to pounce, during negotiations it was expressed Miami's last offer is about 3rd in value versus the other offers on the table. The only chance we will have to get first in line is for Durant to make this a really break glass in case of emergency type meeting be the one that burns all bridges to come back.
Do not like this news about Yurt. He is in a contract year and not thinking about his long term future. He is worried about playing to earn a big deal. When I hear a player been told he may need surgery and decides to try and just rehab it so he can play. Always ends up badly. He will end up not playing well and still need surgery. Just procrastinating the inevitable. I think he proved enough in the Heat eyes to get a second deal. Just get 100% and go from there. The sooner the better

Other teams would run the risk of KD still demanding a trade to one of his preferred destinations. Teams that are gonna have to part with a young talented budding star and multiple 1st, aren't trying to deal with that nonsense after trading away so many assets.

Also I feel like KD has a little leverage on the NETS by potentially airing out any under the table agreement that circumvented the cap...Like bypassing a no trade clause and opt outs for a handshake agreement that a future trade request would be honored.

But yes I agree that the Nets, to this point, had no intentions of really trading KD. They were prob assuming PHX and us would get tired of waiting and use our assets elsewhere by now to upgrade our rosters....thus opening an avenue for the KD & Nets to seriously consider more teams to bargain with.

Regardless of outcome, I just hope we’re near the end of this drawn out saga and we can start making moves to shore up the roster.

Spoiler:
who am I kidding, I’ll be phuckin pissed if KD goes somewhere else. Especially Boston smh

We don’t go this far to go this far. We stay patient until when ever this ends. As excruciating as it is. Im hopeful we’ll be out of our misery after this meeting
If u don't want 2b here, the way things work, u don't like it, then don't b here. U have 2 stand on something. If Miami ain't standing on something, they become alot of these organizations trying 2 find their identity. This is the culture, bro -Wade

Yeah, who jumps like that with something wrong in their legs. He'd only been taking a lot of games off because of some discomfort and didn't know it wasn't supposed to feel that way after surgery.

I mean there’s a difference in a botched surgery where they thought they fixed you up and actually being injured to where you’re laboring and thinking about surgery lol. Idk why that’s so hard to understand.

Clearly something was hampering him, otherwise I’d assume we’d have wanted to see him get some SL reps. Trade talk be damned.

Still, he sure looks healthy here. God I hope Spo gives him a chance this season.

It was obvious he was being held out for an injury but it’s good to see him back on the court. Been waiting for actual footage.

I really can’t believe we have folks reaching here giving Oladipo as an example. Yurt had a quad injury and now he’s back to working out. I would say that’s a good sign. It’s like people practically begging for the ICC nugget of Yurt possibly needing surgery to be true.

Herro trying his best to up his value further by saying we could've won it all if he (and others) wasn't injured...

The timing of the Durant meeting...

Jovic being eligible to be traded...

It's finally happening, right? LOL

But Nets have not told us to go away. The fact that we're still in the conversation means they're very much open to a trade. & if we felt Nets weren't negotiating I'm sure we'd have moved on long ago. Instead we've felt we're in this & have a shot.
