Any shred of hope I have is based on me being suspicious that San Antonio is a motivated buyer for Fox. I'm not saying they're not. Just absent clarity on that front, I could see it being more prudent from a bball perspective to hold out for a bigger fish that is a better fit with their core. Time and assets are on their side.

Fox-Wemby-Castle would be the worst 3pt shooting core in the NBA. If they'd have ot trade Vassell for salaries to work, even bigger issue.

Curious to follow it until the point it's clear SA is motivated to buy.

Pat Riley learned his lesson with the Lillard fiasco. When Rich Paul made it known to the Heat that Fox wants to be in Miami, Riley and Paul agreed to leak SA as the preference, knowing that the Spurs are one of the few organizations that would not deny the report and there’s plausible deniability that Fox would actually want to go there given his ties to Texas.

Megabrain move.

Vegas knows what’s up.

Stay tuned.

We’ve been stuck on a whaling vessel for nearly a decade with nothing but sardines to claim as our prize. Ahab will deliver!

Problem is we have limited tackle in the fishing box to be real players when players like Fox demand out. We would have to trade valued players to get anything done causing it to be a lateral move. Guys like Bridges are going for 5 1st rd picks and as of right now we only have 2030 that’s tradeable. Fox will be going for 4 to 5 1st possibly as well cause teams out there can give it without it even hurting them.

I like it. Gotta get Vegas this info ASAP as they've moved SA to the best odds narrowly over Miami

I got laughed out of thread for it at the time, but I continue to believe that he has all the makings of not just a good player, but somebody who can elevate players around him, and a guy other players/coaches will want to work with.

It will be interesting to see him match up against Wemby again. He definitely got the better of Wemby the first time, I think if he can do it again we might start to see the beginning of a little rivalry. Personally to me Wemby is soft, and while Ware is somewhat similar to me in skillset, I think he has a much more rugged disposition. He's going to start talking $h1T to people on the floor pretty soon, he started getting active a little bit against the Magic.

Correction: you got laughed at for saying you were basing that take, in large part, on observing Ware in college. Where he flamed out of Oregon year 1 (thus setting up his lingering questions that allowed Miami to get him) and according to his coach Mike Woodson at Indiana, he barely said a word all year in season 2.

Love this vendetta you're on to right how you were wronged because I thought it was funny that you pointed to his college era to project his leadership qualities.

As to your larger question, I think Ware has done nothing but show himself to be a gritty worker that can thrive in this organization.

That’s also part of the plan. There will be a sudden shift at the end or they will pull it entirely.

Stay tuned.

I think they end up keeping their core group and pay off the Kings in draft capital surrounding around a deal that involves Keldon Johnson, Trae Jones, and Zach Collins with like 4-5 1st rd picks attached. Something similar to the pick cache Bridges went for. Spurs have like 30 something picks to dance with.

Agreed--but this quite literally is as I know I laughed at that comment. And maybe one other poster.

More importantly, it's about you. And it's the 3rd separate time you've brought it up. Hi.

Have we consulted with ICECOLDCUBANO or WATCHOUT yet?

That will be better for them than giving up Vassell in the deal as Vassell is one of their only reliable shooters. I still think it's a bit of a wonky build for Wemby. He needs shooters and bulk around him. But, I'm definitely not dismissing the fact that SA as motivated buyers wipe Miami out.

Nobody is questioning your supreme levels of intelligence, frankly I’m blessed to even be able to post on the same forum as somebody with the gifts you undoubtedly possess. I am but a humble follower of the Sardine Insider looking for Heat info during this trying time for the franchise please excuse me

What does the Sardine Insider have to say?

Pat Riley has them under a gag order. Notice how quiet they’ve been.

All three trusted Heat insiders having gone radio silent during one of the most active periods of the year hints at a major move being in the works.

Dude seems to REALLY want to gain followers from the void left by Woj. He seemingly posts anything tangentially related to what could be happening.

Return to Miami Heat
