There is a reason Sham's kept saying keep an eye on Giannis. He wouldn't harp on this if he didn't know something was up over there. Giannis gave them a chance and that may continue into the end of the year but it's looking bad right noq. also Giannis is a 30YO big that relies on athleticism - every season counts with him as a leading man.
I could see Miami being all over this if the season was going differently. I think they need to just leave Spo alone he’s cooking right now. You’re going all in to get a 31 year old Giannis. Not sure it’s prudent based on what we are seeing with this team, it’s kinda bigger than 1 year right now. We’re legitimately watching the game of basketball change.
Mark my words specialist won’t exist in this game much longer it’s going to be 5 out iso ball and either you better have the best player in the world, and or be incredibly balanced and deep 1-5. This roster was built for that, Spo as we have watched has fought this battle for years going back and forth between committing to something like this and guys like Jimmy, Duncan, and DHOs that made Bam and Tyler successful.
Jimmy Butler hated this system and that was the start of this entire deal. Spo started doing this in 24 and Jimmy threw a fit about it and talked about standing in the corner.
I get the sentiment but Miami does have huge decisions to consider. Norms a FA, Herro’s extension.. theyre not in OKCs tier. so if they have a chance to land Giannis for Herro, Ware picks, you do it and dont look back. we were winning without Herro and Ware has barely been getting 20 mins with the new lineups. This would make Miami a real contender for the next 5 years and maximizing Bams prime. You have to do it.
