He can still produce at a high enough level to have value for us, but his attitude may keep his cost low enough for us to grab him on veterans min.

For size, I’d take Whiteside. No cap.

this does make me happier. Does anyone know if this gives us bird rights on him at the end of his contract?

I believe if he was on the active roster at anytime during the two-way contract he gets credited as a year of experience which also goes towards his Bird rights, so Miami should have his bird rights after his next contract is up.

I’m all for that if Bam would play PF..
PF - Bam, Tucker
C- Dedmon, Whiteside

Rotate Bam and tucker into Centre when needed..

Here’s what needs to happen. We trade Herro for an impact player in the front court. Sign Oladipo for cheap and have him rehab. In the mean time we give Strus all the run he can handle to prove himself until Dipo comes back to backup Duncan.

Haters be damned, but that’s a fairly solid starting 5.

Lowry
Duncan
Butler
Tucker
Adebayo

Would I prefer a slightly bigger lineup? Yes. But all things being considered, it’s tough defensively and has plenty of spacing around our guys.

Would rather have Drummond. Whiteside is the ultimate slug

Forgot Monk was still out there. Would be a nice pickup for the BAE for some scoring off the bench.

That would definitely make me feel a lot better about the boards, Dedmon is just enough of a shooter that I think he could space the floor with Bam. And Whiteside's rim protection is still ridiculous and would allow him to pair with tucker quite nicely. The only rotation that would worry me would be Bam and Whiteside playing together, unless Bam has done significant work and improvement on his jumper for the sake of spacing.

I hear the concern but I don't think Drummond would be available that cheap, and he isn't the rim protector that Whiteside is. Despite all his faults Whiteside is still one of the best block artists in the league. And that feels like a component our team is missing. I wouldn't mind getting that from another big, but with Javale signed I don't think many others left provide that protection at a cheap price.

Some fans shld go follow another team that pleases their needs. Get outside get some air or some sh*t, i don't give a f*ck. just shut the hell up

I'm enjoying the movements thus far. I ride w/ our front office & decisions. We're obviously trying our best.
If u don't want 2b here, the way things work, u don't like it, then don't b here. U have 2 stand on something. If Miami ain't standing on something, they become alot of these organizations trying 2 find their identity. This is the culture, bro -Wade

Yeah bro I agree! If bucks are the team to beat we have to go big not small ie Bam (C), Tucker (PF)

That bench tho…. :nonono:

Still not done

Low-key, might end up a disaster, but I'd try Malik Monk at back-up PG

We need to trade Herro for a full time starting 4.

Also disappointed to see we’re bringing Vincent back, hate watching him play.

Now all of that also comes down to my personal aversion to not having enough size on the roster to be able to adjust strategies. I don't mind small ball lineups as a primary strategy, but if you look at the 7 seconds Suns they had Kurt Thomas that they could roll out next to Amare to help size up against teams playing bully ball down low. I don't like having a weaknesses that the roster isn't built to address at all, even if it isn't preferred.

Anyone heard any movement on Willy Hernangomez? I wouldn't mind throwing the BAE at him to try and poach him for a year if teams aren't paying enough attention.

Return to Miami Heat
