Don't want that dude anywhere near the Heat. He'd completely ruin this team. We'd almost be certain that the trade included Whiteside (really big no), we'd have to move Waiters (big no), he doesn't currently play defense and is probably incapable of it, and would ruin our chemistry.

Please correct me if i am not mistaken but arent we a back to back lottery team? Ruin a lottery team....please let that sink in. The goal is to win titles not just make the playoffs and one needs stars in the playoffs.

Just for fun if the Cavs are offering Rose 2.1 the vet min why dont we do that and get him here? It hurts the Cavs, gets us a backup PG which we need and who knows maybe Rose does a 180 like Waiter, if not its only the freaking vet min for one year.

You are mistaken. 2 years ago we made the playoffs with Wade/Joe Johnson etc.

Last year we were in the lottery, yes, but we were the best team in the East (fact, not opinion) in the 2nd half of the season and actually tied for the final playoff spot. If it wasnt for one of the worst starts in franchise history, we may be having a whole different conversation here.

Some of you glass half empty people really drive me crazy. It must be so hard being so negative about something like sports.

All I know is I have a close family friend who is high up in the heat organization. I saw him over the weekend and he said that he has never been as genuinely happy and excited going into a season as he is this year. That to me speaks VOLUMES.

All I know is that the people inside the organization are feeling something special, and actually buying into this "Culture" thing. Does anyone realize how big that really is in sports??

Im sorry, but there are only MAYBE 5 players in the league that will make us an instant championship contender and we are not getting them at the moment. So why not be okay with having a fun, exciting young team that REALLY wants to work for each other and get better.

There is a reason that the Heat have a model organization, and why others around the world try to emulate it. There is a reason why we get at least a meeting with EVERY top free agent on the market.

I'm pretty sure 95% of the NBA teams are excited heading into the season at this point.

Kyrie can easily lure one of those 5 players over anyone we have.

We were the second best team in the second half but in the first half we were also one of the worst so that leaves a 50/50 chance to either be a bad team or a good team. Before you say we had injuries please realize other teams had injuries and still won games.

Getting a meeting with every top free agent doesn't mean anything if we're not managing to sign them. I could work for a car lot and have someone drive every car but unless I sell one I still won't make any commission.

Ira is saying on the radio that the Knicks is not a destination that Irving requested. That its between Miami, Minny and San Antonio that he requested to be traded to.

I think we're the most likely destination. If you look at minny and SA's rosters they don't have a lot of assets that it would make sense for them to part with to trade for Kyrie and still be of equal compensation for Cleveland. Meanwhile, Dragic+Winslow/J-Rich (probably Winslow) for Kyrie straight up is a clean trade and probably the best Cleveland can hope for.

Kyrie Irving is a pipe dream for us. The only team i see with a great chance at pulling off a trade is the Suns. Now with Jones in the front office they have a bridge to make a deal with the Cavs. Eric Bledsoe is exactly the young comparable PG that the Cavs should be seeking in any return for Irving. Not a 31 year old Dragic. Bledsoe and Lebron are also very close so it's at least another pawn to bring along in trying to keep LBJ in Cleveland. Goran, Winslow, TJ, JRich, and a 1st rounder 6 years from now in any combination does not get chit done. Suns have a young veteran scoring PG and plenty of draft assets that trample anything we can offer.

I have to keep stressing that some continue to focus in on four teams that the Cavs have no obligation to consummate a deal with. Cavs will trade Irving to the team that gives them the most assets.

Bledsoe, Hassan, or Dragic/fillers seem like the low-hanging fruit but this is Cle. Nothing easy. Certainly can't keep this distraction in locker room

Cleveland's highest priority is trading for Irving for a blue-chip young player.

Yeah we're done here, lol.

Ira doesn't know chit. For all we know it was Lebron's camp that leaked those teams out. Why would Irving's camp want that even mentioned? He doesn't even have a no trade clause so who is he to demand his trade location with two year's left on his deal? If you put yourself in the Cavs position do you really want to give Irving to the Heat? Really? Just feels like common sense is totally thrown out the window with this one.

Idk who they're going to get at guard for Kyrie that isn't a step down. They're not in a good place. Lots of teams have guards they're not interested in trading and plenty of teams with solid pgs on longer deals.

Kyrie may end up on a really bad team too, lol.

Irving' camp might have not leaked it but no one has refuted his preffered teams as being untrue. Woj and Lowe has even repeated such

True but in the end the trade request to those teams means absolutely nothing in the grand scheme of things. What is KI going to do if not traded to those teams? Retire?

Return to Miami Heat
