Does anybody follow the Spurs? I read that they were looking to shop Derozan and Aldridge. I haven't watched them play but apparently Demar is a PF now and he's super efficient? I think that would be the kind of stop gap move that could give us a real shot at winning it all this season.

T-Pups allegedly listening to trade offers for KAT. With everything that gone on in his life the past year, you’d expect he sees things a little different than he did when Jimmy was there. If we take on D’Lo as well, and give them Herro/Precious/expirings/picks it gets them a full reset.

It’s a big gamble, but it may be a way of adding the star power needed in the PO.

With Spurs sitting 5th, I just don’t see them shopping their vets. Maybe if the back end falls out of their season they may look at rebooting.

DD playing PF still has us being too short against teams that play 2 bigs. AD gave us issues because we just couldn’t cover the combo of quick and long. We can play quick at the 4, but not long.

I wouldn’t even really consider this much of a gamble. More a no brainer. But I can’t imagine we’d have the best offer available to them.

You’d think Phoenix would come knocking with Ayton, Cam Johnson and some picks. That’s likely better than anything we can put together, plus PHX are now good and have his buddy Book.

Thibodeau finally has backing behind him with nobody going against him like on previous teams(owner in Minnesota, Chicago's FO). He decides on the best course of action(offense, defense, rotation) and works on that vs just keep trying different lineups while maintaining a framework. People bitched about him not playing the younger guys (he plays who's good enough, which is asking the younger players to work for their positions) and doesn't develop guys, well he's created roles who has turned one of the journeyman Knicks into an All-Star(even if you don't think so, good enough to be considered as an all-star) and the younger players are playing because... they are good enough to play that much. The Knicks very possibly may be ramping up to being a very good franchise again which is just another team to contend with in the East.

This Knicks team was suppose to be one of the worst teams in the league this year but they're showing what preparation, hard work and defense can do even if you're not as talented as other teams. Teams under Thibodeau and Spoelstra are a lot (except their nightly rotation shakeups) alike although one looks like a troll and the other is Spoelstra.

So Tampa gets their game postponed today for health and safety protocols. How does that work? How were we able to play for weeks with health and safety protocol crippled lineups and Yimmy actually getting infected? Would've been nice if we could've got a few postponements rather than automatic Ls vs conference rivals

If you have 8 guys available then the game goes on. We did the pride thing the Heat always do and forced our way through those games anyway. Spo even said Herro’s neck was bothering him so he should’ve sat him. At the very least the two games vs the Sixers would’ve been postponed then.

I get the 8-man requirement, and I'm still salty over how Spo bent over backwards to field a broken 8-man skeleton crew vs conference rivals, but I'm questioning the procedure here. From the Feb 26 tweet it sounds like Nurse may have tested positive and now everyone is ruled out of their Feb 28 game for contract tracing

Well, we know Yimmy caught covid, so I'm wondering how we didn't have everyone ruled out with games postponed due to contract tracing. Was Yimmy somehow self-quarantining and not with the team when he contracted covid?

I've been beating the DD drum since last season but I think it might be another one of those "should have" moves that we missed the boat on and is too late for us to make now. Spurs might've been interested in selling low before the season but DD is playing phenomenally and currently has SAS fighting for a top 4 seed. And perhaps more importantly, he's fitting very well as a leader with their young players and facilitating their development. For all we know the Spurs might want to re-sign him now

According to Spo, the NBA forced his hand.

That would be infuriating but I'm not sure I buy it. iirc Philly held Simmons out with an imaginary injury to get a game postponed and there were zero consequences. And we know that Spo was playing Herro throughout that mess, then Herro hits the injury report literally the very day Bam returns

Clippers were super garbo down the stretch. Literally just jacking up contested threes vs good defenders

Kawhi would be very stupid not to consider Miami in free agency. The Clippers will forever be unserious. He can’t love LA that much.

And that was a very stupid basketball decision. He would’ve been a demigod in Toronto had he stayed. Let alone won again .
