Absolutely, even if he's hurt that's part of the calculation, he can't be relied on as the main scorer and Bam can't be the 2nd option, Miami has to find a vet scorer or just rebuild. Maybe they'll just freeze the summer moves trying to get Dame and then not make a move again.

Dame is right there. I think that's the move. But he's also old. Counting on two 35 year olds as your two best players in the playoffs next season is kinda risky. Father time eventually catches up with everyone.
I think Heat should do it. But its gonna be a max of a 2 year run. I don't see Butler and Dame being super elite at 37.

Google is too easy to use to say Dame is 35.

Slowing up Murray would have helped greatly. He has 42 assists through 4 games of the finals.

the fact we didnt have dipo and herro probably helped the team and catapulted us. I like dipo but his offense hasnt been good in about 5 years. And herro is so inefficient in the playoffs, his numbers are below average in the postseason where as robinson has above average playoff statistics.

With dipo and herro, we would have never seen the contributions Vincent and Caleb gave us. They developed in the playoffs and flashed potential that can developed into contributing roleplayers. Never have seen robinson as well. And now robinson has went from cant trade him to an asset that is tradeable

But we cant run this same team back. It wont be enough.

We will hve Lowry and Dipo expiring.. which totals about 39 million.. to dangle around for talent that can make us deeper..or to try to lure a superstar.

The team needs a complete makeover. We refused to get bigger and once again it cost us. These dudes have to put in 100% effort every night because they lack so much talent and size, and they always run out of gas eventually when no matter what they do, the other just does the other things easier. When are we going to learn?

If only we'd played Zeller and Jokic more. If only we were bigger. Like all those teams watching us on TV.

The bigger team always wins!

Lakers and now Denver are bigger. When it matters most, we couldn't pull through. Being small requires tons of energy to overcome size and, like the Lakers, we ran out gas again against the Nuggets. Oh well. I'm not mad at our guys, but we need to improve. But trying to succeed doing the same things that's led to failure over and over is insanity.

And all the other bigger teams pulled through when? You have a bias for bigger lineups. That's fine. But it's not rooted in results.

its not the team really, its how great Jokic is playing. he is feeding everyone with incredible passing and answering our runs with big shots. they feed off of him. his passing skills is like, miles ahead of bam
dude there's no comparison. i tell you what. trade bam to another team and see if he can succeed there. right now i view him just a tad better than bustice winslow. the guy cant even dunk right most of the times. i would trade his azz for this alone

so basically, Jimmy needs the right conditions to be able to impose his will offensively. otherwise, he struggles

thats not a true #1. We are lucky we got carried out of the ECF by Caleb Martin and Gabe Vincent. Jimmy got carried. We should have lost to the celtics if not for Caleb and the guys carrying jimmy.

im ready to move on from Jimmy. I know that is hard to hear, but he is inconsistent. He plays like MJ and then vanishes. Played his heart out in 2020 finals and then next year plays like trash vs the bucks in 2021.

to win in this league, you need a true superstar to carry you. we dont have one.

Denver is the better team but I think we need to make it a priority to get more scoring options who aren't so dependent on Jimmy and Bam. Bam is never going to be that guy but Jimmy just is too old and exhausted to be the #1 scoring option. He doesn't have the shooting range too. Maybe in 2020 he could play off sheer will but every year, he gets 1 year older and he's going to run out of gas when we need him to do everything.

Small ball is basketball's Wildcat Offense unless you have a few top 30 of all time goats playing for you.

Could have used Dwight Howard or a real Center. Bam is a 4, always has been.

Dwight just got hit with a 65% pay cut by his Taiwan team lol... what does that tell you about his value?

Joker or Embiid cannot over power him, his defense would have been useful in this series and Bam could have guarded Gordon. Bam is not a center and never will be, he plays hard but is just too small to be a center.

We needed Jimmy and Bam to be the second and third best (in any order) for the Heat to win this series. They haven't done it so far.

But they were never the 2nd nor 3rd best players.
Murray is the 2nd best player. The 3rd is up to who you ask, 4th and 5th sure.

Hopefully this will get Butler to shut up about winning a championship. Even if he's hurt, he was pivoting fine, dunking off 2 feet fine, moving around most of the game fine but not being aggressive.

Not really. Sometimes, you just run up against a much better team. Jokic is going to go down as an all-time great and Murray is finally making the leap to being a true star this playoff run. Kevin Durant might have made a difference, but Dipo and Herro, nah.

What havw you been watching? Bam is nowhere near the best offensive player in fact hes got to be the worst on the floor.

Game to game Bam has clearly been our best player. Frustrating as he has been, he has clearly been our best player while eating the worst matchup on defense.

The problem with relying on Herro is even if he was going to be big for us, he's too injury prone. It's not his fault he's hurt but he just seems to get hurt often. The unfortunate reality of sports.

We didn't get that news after the 2021 playoff sweep.

Couldn't watch the rest gents. I knew what was coming.

After this game i give my respects to Denver. They balled out. They came to play, they cld not miss a damn shot. That's balls man. This is a team that's never been to the final dance & there's no gitters. I hand it to Malone, i wouldn't say he out-coached Spo as Spo wld do damage w/ the talented roster he has, but he asked the question to his team and had them respond well.

I commend our team. Hell of a run. So proud of them. We weren't supposed to be here. We showed how tough we are. But as i stated earlier we go as far as Jimmy takes us and Jimmy just hasn't been able to be him since gm4 in the Boston series. No Herro for compensation to boot. Jimmy started this but the poor cat just can't finish it. He can't carry us on his shoulders this time round. I feel for him as his window is slowly closing.

We may win gm5 but even me the optimist and staunch supporter of this squad knows this thing is over. Jimmy healthy...f*ck yeah i'm fighting to the death w/ our unit but we don't have our warrior being able to shed blood out there. Bam can't take us home.

Happy for Denver. Well done.

It's not? The point is winning it all bro.....and last I checked we've come up short, and against teams with functional size.

Against a team like Denver, you'd better be shooting the 3 at a high clip consistently if you're gonna play small, because rest assured they're gonna bury you inside.

Bam has been the second best player on two finals teams and he’s getting compared to Winslow
