The ABC broadcast f'ing sucks. They're not showing Silver announce the picks. All they're doing is interviewing the picks randomly out of order. I wouldn't even know who we drafted had I not read this board or gotten a text from a friend. What a sh*t night f**k this I'm hopping on PS5.

This reminds me of drafting Daequan Cook when we already had DWYANE WADE on the roster.

What? Portland doesn’t want a 22 year old senior as part of their rebuild? Who would have thought.

I could be wrong. Dude definitely makes it look easy w the skills

Based solely on those clips, he looks like a guy who maxes out in college. He looks like the savvy old guy at the Y taking advantage of the kids.

Wait ... that didn't come out right.

He honestly could have been had in the second round.. but the Heat werent confident they would have the pick.. so they just took the player they liked the most from the workouts and interviews they did.

This is a pick for a cheap rotation player, he's 22.

So we're going to run it back, Duncan slides back into the starting rotation and JJJ takes Strus' spot in the rotation (or at least competes with Highsmith for it)

That's going to be somewhat uncomfortable since it was 1 or more starters asking for Strus to replace Robinson in the starting lineup 2 seasons ago and it worked and he'll walk and get paid less than Robinson.

Jaquez better do good being 2-4 years older than most of the players in summer league.

I can see why the Heat wanted JJJ.. theyve had enough with one dimensional roleplayers off the bench in robinson and strus and was looking for someone that can do a bit more..

JJJ definitely has more offensive skills that can be developed and could potentially be a more reliable player off the bench for us.

What more can you ask for the 18th pick honestly.. i mean we struck gold with the production we were able to extract from strus, gabe, caleb and robinson.. if we can get a more multi dimensional efficient player in JJJ with the 18th pick, then we did very well.

He shot less then 32% from 3 in college his last year, that can be somewhat fixed over time.
