Those mins breakdowns will be a moot once someone goes down with an injury (OR TWO OR THREE). A little depth wouldn't hurt. :dontknow:

Sure in theory it wouldn't hurt, until the first game of season ends and you realize TJ and Rich played 18 minutes each.

Play Dion as a SF, maybe he'll be less sucky there.

Gawd that would be a nightmare.. luckily TJ is a 12 mil player so he should play ahead of Dion at SG.. and he really should regardless.

I'm hoping that Dion will be used very much like GG.. if he can prove that he can play, use him strictly as a bench scoring if not bury him deep.

I read somewhere else that this is all so that Riley can trade all of our youth for Westbrook. If that's the case, it would have made soooo much more sense to keep Wade. We would compete now with that team.

Westbrook-Wade-Ellington-Bosh-Whiteside

Like I don't even get it. We should have just traded McRoberts to clear room for Wade's contract and then did the trade for Westbrook IF that's the plan. Now we'll trade for him but won't have enough for another max player.

14 years from now, in the distant year of 2030, Shewasfly gone still be like "we can offer a 34yr old Andrew Wiggins 3yrs 100millon, but not give DWade 2yrs50mil"

If Micky actually wanted Wade in Miami he'd still be here. Micky didn't... so Wade's in Chicago.

Forward people look forward (Leave former Heat Legend discussions in his appreciation thread). The roster is still not set. All of these guys are pretty much camp invites and trade assets for XMas. Can't wait for pre-season to see what shakes out. I see nothing wrong with getting some talent on low salary.

Tanking is for losers, to plan to lose before a season starts? To each his own, you all most have been watching all those Dolphin games..

I think Pat is cooking up some marvelous dish.. like Raekwon (WuTang). Let see what we have. Given what happened since 7-7-16 this group looks promising. Results are not determined before preseaon.

They wanted to strong arm him into less, thats why he left. These horrendous moves suggest to me a Wade departure was not expected.

Riles has the youth to make moves. His track record speaks for itself. Someone will eventually want out of a situation, then the don will strike.

Any team with Ellington or Waiters as a starting SF is not a contender LOL

Pat Riley wrote:“Dion is not a Room Exception player,” said HEAT President Pat Riley. “He wanted to play for the Miami HEAT and chose to forgo other more lucrative financial opportunities to be a part of our championship organization. We are very honored that he made the commitment to come to South Florida and sign with us. Dion is young, athletic and explosive, which fits in with our roster. He will add a great dimension for us at the off-guard spot. I really like the depth and versatility that we now have in our perimeter positions. Welcome aboard Dion!”

I'm not buying that we're trading youth for Westbrook when we can just sign him next offseason. You don't think they tried to trade garbage ass Josh McRoberts? Teams were asking for Josh, Justise, or picks to be attached. Still wouldn't have done it, we're already limited in assets as it is.

Nope, I don't. But whatever, let's see what the actual "plan" is. It'll be revealed, if there is one, and if its good or bad, soon enough.
