We might need a 1 tbh. It was always going to be an uphill battle in the playoffs with the way the 1 and "2" option on this team score (or don't score for that matter lol), we talked about this in the regular season with them being non-shooters. We needed super saiyan Jimmy and/or role players playing above their averages to win. For much of the postseason we were able to bank on at least one of those, but now we're getting average Jimmy and role players below their averages.

Jimmy’s been frustrating as heck but he’s certainly not right. You don’t just go from playing at ‘MJ’ level as some people were saying to this without something major going on. All I’m saying is if we had a guy who can consistently put up 25-30 points a night to relieve pressure off Jimmy, this would be an entirely different series.

After this game i give my respects to Denver. They balled out. They came to play, they cld not miss a damn shot. That's balls man.This is a team that's never been to the final dance & there's no gitters. I hand it to Malone, i wouldn't say he out-coached Spo as Spo wld do damage w/ the talented roster he has, but he asked the question to his team and had them respond well.

I commend our team. Hell of a run. So proud of them. We weren't supposed to be here. We showed how tough we are. But as i stated earlier we go as far as Jimmy takes us and Jimmy just hasn't been able to be him since gm4 in the Boston series. No Herro for compensation to boot. Jimmy started this but the poor cat just can't finish it. He can't carry us on his shoulders this time round. I feel for him as his window is slowly closing.

We may win gm5 but even me the optimist and staunch supporter of this squad knows this thing is over. Jimmy healthy...f*ck yeah i'm fighting to the death w/ our unit but we don't have our warrior being able to shed blood out there. Bam can't take us home.

No, the bigger team doesn't always win but we always have to put in 100% effort to make up for the lack of size and we always run out of gas when the other team can do the small things easier.

Or the other team is simply better and more talented. Looking at the two rosters is there any doubt which team has more talent?

Of course, they are far more talented but this isn't the same Heat team from a few weeks ago. They've looked like they've been in the mud since the Boston series. They are exhausted. As Grumpy Heat fan said, it's a superstar league and we don't have enough. With that said, Denver didn't win with just sheer talent. We looked like children against the Lakers and Nuggets on the boards. Denver got everything they wanted because we nothing to stop their bigs. I don't mean just Jokic. He's the best but Gordon look like an elite player. We had no answer when Denver can just get simple 2s from backing guys down.

It's hardly a surprise that we lose when the opposing team does what they do better than we do what we do. Our advantage was spreading the floor, but our shooters ran dry. That's just how it goes.

Pharenheit, what you just wrote is what upsets me. Because needing a #1 scoring option is the SAME PROBLEM WE HAD AFTER LAST 2022 ECF LOSS TO BOSTON!! We did nothing in the offseason and ran it back and now we are in the same spot only 1 year older

Blessing in disguise? I like it....let 'em walk Pat if they get the big offers. This franchise has shown they can simply find another Gabe & Strus....not to mention I'd like to see Jovic in a bigger role.

Gabe Vincent has surely cost himself quite a bit of money. He has crashed down to earth. Same for Strus. And the Kobe Martin that carried us vs Boston was only a figment of our imagination

The cynical fan in me thinks this franchise is going to run it back again since we were close but I just don't see how you can keep Strus when he's been terrible all year outside a couple of series and when Duncan and Herro are much better. Strus can't defend either so I don't see any reason I'd ever play that guy again. Gabe is going to depend on what the market is for him but I wouldn't overpay for him. He's had some big moments and he plays his ass off but we've also seen him be terrible for a lot of the season. He's way too streaky to be an expensive main option on this team.

I'm thankful for some of the games/performances Strus and Vincent gave us during this unexpected run, but after Monday if I don't see Gabe and Strus in a Heat jersey again I would be perfectly fine (especially Strus!)

To win a ring we need role players like Battier, Mike Miller, James Posey, etc. Guys that did not shrink on the biggest stage.

Even Mario Chalmers who our fanbase often crapped on, had huge games on the biggest stage.

These guys aren't big time.

Gabe is a good role player, but we started to depend on him to score 20ppg to have a chance. If he could do that, he'd be an all star level and we cant afford him. He is what he is

Joker or Embiid cannot over power him, his defense would have been useful in this series and Bam could have guarded Gordon. Bam is not a center and never will be, he plays hard but is just too small to be a center.

There's probably a reason why no NBA teams have gone out and signed guys like Dwight, Whiteside, or Boogie...

Not really. Sometimes, you just run up against a much better team. Jokic is going to go down as an all-time great and Murray is finally making the leap to being a true star this playoff run. Kevin Durant might have made a difference, but Dipo and Herro, nah.

He was scoring at will against anthony davis, a guy whos made defensive first and second teams about 4 times.. theres just no slowing down that big mother******
