Re: 2025 Regular Season Thread Vol. 9
We are 1-2 against the Cavs this year, would be 2-1 if Spo didn’t feel the need to play Terry 40 minutes in the 3rd games.
Our top 3 players vs the Cavs this year:
Bam: 24-11-5 on 69TS% (3 games)
Herro: 28-6-7 on 65TS% (2 games)
Wiggins: 11-2-2 on 58TS% (2 games)
For Wiggins both games came on the Warriors where he was used as a role player, he’s Spos 2nd scoring option so he’ll likely do better.
We’ve played them well and may be able to make things interesting and steal a game or 2. Win game 1 and it might get interesting. They don’t have any defenders really outside of Mobley/Allen/Wade

Re: 2025 Regular Season Thread Vol. 9
Bigger than anything I feel like Spo is comfortable with this team for the first time all year. Cavs better not let us split games and turn this thing into a street fight. I do not rule out this team getting to the ECF.
What this team has is flexibility with their depth and variety of players, that will make them tough to beat in a 7 game series. Herro is going to have to put his big boy pants on. The floor is his. He’s done it in both the play in games.
This team was never as bad as its record and at this point is dangerous to anybody but Boston

That was really impressive. I'm actually proud of the team. Watching them almost made me puke not long ago.

I remember 11-30 with these guys. ^

Its gone buddy!!
We getting Dru back next year anyway. Our PG play will be steady af.
yah know some people clown on Dru (not you), but dudes... that is your scrappy 120% guy that fights the entire time he is on the court...the dude was replacing Caleb as the energy guy before the floor opened and ate him....
I am super happy with Dru and want the guy back. I know as we keep adding legit talent, some of those G-league guys might pale in comparison....but I would much rather watch Dru minutes than Terry do Terry things.
in a perfect world- to me- we Roll next season with Mitchell-Dru-Saraf then Hero-Larrson-JJJ or Burks or some new SG.
I know Fears looks special, and I hate that we will miss out....but I am sure they will find talent... That Flemming guy looks good, and I really do love Saraf.

They just went life n death against ATL lol
Cavs will in all likelihood dominate mia on the boards and Mitchell will per usual be the playoff riser thats he’s known as

Yeah the boards are gonna be rough if Spo continues to only play Ware around 20 minutes a game against the Cavs monster frontcourt.

In your rabbit hole findings, who of the 3 is the most NBA ready game 1, year 1?

Miami will likely come out in some ridiculous zone scheme in game 1 or 2 that has Cleveland questioning their entire existence a full series if it becomes a fight becomes a game of adjustments. I like our chances if it gets bloody. Not promised that it does but that’s what we have to be hoping for.

The onlything I'm worried about are those cold stretches we go through. If we can't score for an entire quarter, we get blown out of the water

WCJ probs. Hes just come off a historically good run in the tourney and was solid all year as a senior in college. I wouldnt complain.
Saraf has the best size and is a high quality passer.
Traore has that elite twitchiness. Was once considered a top 4 guy in this class. Good time to buy low and Heat culture him in to a stud.

I'm not opposed to a little bit of a project player but not if the idea is to timeline blend.
If they decide to go with a project, my preference is for them to move off some of the vets.
If the FO is committed to the roster staples then WCJ or any day one, turn-key ball handler is the direction I'd like to see them go.
What's your thoughts on how a WCJ/ Herro backcourt pairing would work?

Still think Herro should be paired with Davion. They have the potential to be dynamic together.
Would fit WCJ with Larsson.

Oh my god, ESPN actually did it. They made a top 50 list where not a single player is in the correct spot
They’ve got to be doing this nonsense for clicks at this point right?

Let me guess, Austin Reeves is top 15-20? Thats the kinda algorithmish nonsense theyd like to publish.
