However, Riles is too loyal to do that. He stays. U know who really needs to go? joel anthony, getting paid 4 mil to do absolutely nothing. His money should go to bird. I dunno whos idea it was to sign joel to such a big contract in 2010. I wish we could get rid of him somehow but nobody would trade for him.

Without or without Joel's deal, the Heat are over the luxury tax apron, so why is it such a concern for you? If the guy who is cutting the checks (Micky) isn't tripping about it, then no one should.

Come the summer of 2014, Miller and Anthony will be 10+ million in expiring deals. Potential trading chips. You'd rather have these guys as those assets(despite the excessive cost), than to pay them to play for another team.

good point, i guess whether we have mike or joel or not. We still dont have cap space. But i guess it annoys me that guys are getting overpaid. Micky Arison is about to pay a lot of money, not my money. But i like to look out for him too, hes been a great owner.

We also need to remember that even we start the season with the exact same roster, guys like Miller and Joel could be traded mid-season.

But still, i really think we need to add size sooner rather then later. We Can't stop improving, can't get complacent.

Im not sure anyone would trade for miller or joel this season. They arent expiring contracts yet, they still got one more year. But i agree, we need more size, its been said for years now. At some point, its going to catch up to us. Hibbert gave us a lot of problems.

That's whyt i really want to pickup dalembert as well, too share the Center load and provide size insurance.

Rio/Cole
Wade/Allen/Miller
LBJ/Battirt/Miller
Bosh/Haslem/Battier
Dalembert/Birdman/Oden

I'll feel very confident going to battle with this roster. But we need those 2 new decent bigs.

Riley is not going to use the mini mle and dalembert is not signing for the min, he is a money hungry douche.

At least amnesty Joel and buy a second around pick.

I won't be upset if we keep the same team, but I'd like us to add a big that can eventually start to let Bosh slide to the 4.....I think him having to deal with Noah/Boozer, Hibbert, and Duncan took a good deal out of him in the playoffs.

How do you guys feel about Timofey Mozgov? I think we could snag him for cheap and he seems to be able to play 15-20 mpg and fill our post d/rebounding deficiencies.

Love mozgov, denver is expected to make his qualifying offer($3.9m), making him a restricted FA, so i see no way that we can get mozgov without trading for him.

Riley talked about Miller and most of the team but never talked about Joel. I see him as the odd man out this year as Riley trys to get rid of some of the fat and save Arison some money under the tax. I see him on draft day offering Joel + Future pick for 2nd rounder in hopes that someone bites.

Yea, the mini mid-level is less than the qualifying offer Mozgov will receive from Denver. There's pretty much no deal to make there. Denver would easily match the full MML. That's peanuts for a huge big with decent mobility. Some team will pay him.

They will pay him just to keep him from going elsewhere, but I suppose he is a decent insurance option/trade bait too.

Carl Landry opts out of contract. Could Riley convince him for a vet minimum contract?

He would make a great back up for Bosh at PF.

Lamar is DONE.

Landry is great but we cant afford him, and even if we did..He's a PF only. And Bosh needs to play next to a real Center.

Learn how the world works. Landry didn't opt out of a 5 million dollar contract to come here for Mle.

As far as Lamar being done? I ain't got no worries.

I love how all these teams are just passing through Thomas Robinson like hes some kind of trashy whore. I mean is Joel Anthony really worth keeping instead of trying to get this kid who the rest of the league is just trying to get rid of for crackers.
